It's only an hour and a half from Belfast, just across the border into Donegal.
Great access to Letterkenny and Ballybofet to the South and Inishowen to the North.
Shame that the pubs were closed due to the pandemic, but Burnfoot would be good to visit when the pubs reopen. It's only 1 mile away.

This is a great location, handy to Letterkenny, Derry and Inishowen. I was there for a wedding which was in Derry, 15 to 20 minutes from the hotel.
For a vist, this is a good base to visit the north west if you prefer not to be city based.
My sister and I have spent the year just choosing overnight stays at random hotels throughout Ireland. We arrived at An Grianan and check-in was quick. We booked in for dinner at 8. There was a pub quiz after which we stayed for. It was great craic. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice of food and the old church setting was beautiful. Room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Staff were very pleasant. A great stay
Very nice hotel with easy access from the main road, a historic place with a great view, and everything that you need to stay for the night and to have a good relaxation and a break. Nicely finished with a lot of attention to detail. Good size a room, comfy bed, nice and clean and great value. It was the ideal place on our route to have a break and relax however please jump to another section.
The hotel staff were amazing, the lady on reception in the evening was the best hostess I have met, couldn't have been more accommodating. The bar staff were excellent also, very helpful and attentive. The food was also fantastic - compliments to the chef! Excellent value for money, the room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Will definitely book here again.
Everything from the second we arrived was amazin. The friendly welcome from staff at reception. To the male worker helping me with my suitcase into the room. Everyone was so nice to the wains they were so excited also. Breakfast was amazing. Beautiful setting. Ever area of the hotel is emaculate. The room was spacious and clean. We cannot wait to come back ☺️☺️
We had a very relaxing stay here. The beds were comfortable and the hotel staff were all outstanding. The house keeping staff left towels outside the door when we had left the do not disturb sign on the door... such a considerate touch. My partner is a coeliac and they were well able to cater for his dietary needs.

I stayed a single overnight stay and the hotel, it's staff and facilities were excellent and comfortable. The breakfast was great and served in a beautifully restored church building. Overall a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely breakfast. Good value. Loved the Donegal stone on the building and outside walls. The place was very clean and uncluttered. We felt very safe in the current climate.
Excellent breakfast in the quaint old church which has been repurposed as a restaurant. Very prompt service and a very good selection of continental and cooked breakfast.
Excellent hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast superb. Dinners excellent. Afternoon tea best ever. Fantastic selection of food on offer. Very reasonably priced.
Hotel was great but there was a wedding on and noise from guest in corridors till 4.30 so not much sleep would be checking if there was a wedding on next time
