Mary was a lovely host. She met us on arrival and whenever we returned after a day's exploration! She was attentive, an excellent conversationalist and always prepared to go that little bit further to meet our needs. One of the questions above asked whether this property was a romantic place to stay. I said yes though, at my age, I'm not sure I'd know what present 'romance' means! Geoffrey, the friendly dog, added to the enjoyment!

Parking was outside the hotel and their is an area for unloading passengers and baggage. Initially had to ask for a room change, which was done with good grace. Room was spacious, clean and beds were very comfortable. E-suite was spotless. We were close to the lift which made life simpler for my disabled companion. Food was straightforward, of good quality, pleantiful and fairly priced. We booked dinner and a breakfast buffet was included in the price. I am coeliac yet there was plenty for me to choose from. Staff were eexcellent, particulary the lady organising the dining room with brisk efficiency and kindness.

We had a lovely stay in Drum Haven B&B. Declan and Linda are great hosts and it is a credit to them both how they run their B&B. Spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms and location is excellent. Very close to Knock Shrine and we certainly have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to others. Home baking at our bed and b was the best asset. Place easy to find from the main road. Village of Kilkelly nearby with friendly supermarket. Central for travellers to get to places around. Quiet at nights.
