We enjoyed this hotel mainly because of its location in the Kerry, just minutes away from Portmagee.
This allowed us to visit Skellig Michael island after standing by for 3 days for suitable landing conditions.
The location is also very good for the Skellig Ring we drove a couple of times.
About the hotel, very nice room with beautiful sea view, private parking and very good restaurant.
Hotel staff was fantastic and very helpful.

-The House is situated just off "Waterfield Centre", half a mile from the shops the pubs and the bay! Don't be too excited with centre as it is a small town! We were expecting many more people as it was the weekend of WTF, multiples trails in the countryside! Was lovely, very local and friendly!
The house is semi detached, big-a bit too big as it is quite empty especially the kitchen!
At the end, it is functional but not cozy!
Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a mud room. A small Garden (4x8 m) with three comfy chairs and a wooden table to picnic. Not a lot of privacy but very well appreciated because it was very sunny and the garden is full south so sun from morning to evening!
The bedrooms where cute and welcoming. Good Beds though on the short side lengthwise (we are not very large people).
THere is a Very good restaurant of fresh pasta and seafood called oh MaryLou, I where you can also do takeaway. The pub "The lobster" was also great for fish and chips and burgers.
The location is excellent!
Very quiet, night and day.
THe bay was very welcome. Beach of sand and peables. THe local authority encourages to pick up 3 pieces of plastic for home recycling to keep the beach nice and clean. I loved it!
I did it but did find only small fragments. It works!

We arrived at a very disorganized and dysfunctional establishment that was quite difficult to find, even with the mixed-up directions provided.
When I tried to clarify some issues with the host, she responded with, "I shouldn’t even be here, it’s my day off." This didn't address any of our concerns. I tried to change to a different room due to the confusing layout and the number of stairs, but was told they were fully booked but after pushing it, i was given a different room. Then for curiosity I checked their website and was able to book three rooms for the same night, so clearly the “we are fully booked” was debatable.
The hotel supposedly offers free parking, but we were told it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Considering the number of rooms, many guests would likely have to struggle for street parking.
The bed was okay, but the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. There is a fridge, but it was warmer inside the fridge than the room.
There are 12 downlights in the room, with two switches on the wall, one of which does nothing, while the other turns all 12 lights on or off at once so its all or nothing! Additionally, there are no bedside lamps, just a tiny reading lamp with very low wattage. There isn’t even a towel rail in the bathroom.
The rooms are noise transparent, noise travels heavily throughout the building so you can hear whats going on in the room above you and hallway noise is very bad. Also for a room for two people, there was only one arm chair and when asked if it was possible to get another one, we were told yes, but we never saw it which is consistent with the disorganization.
The rate is advertised as including breakfast but what is provided is a joke. A couple of pastries i. a paper bag, hung on the door overnight lol.
