All good, quiet..that is what we needed, only missing a sink downstairs to wash our hands, Also, a kettle was not in the kitchen, and there was no paper or cloth downstairs in the dining/kitchen area to clean after or before we used the table. Even though it was clean, I prefer to clean the area before I eat. But handy as you no need to wash your used dishes:) as was a separate table to leave used dishes.
We have not met an owner or staff, but my child, when he went to look at the chicks did and he was nice to him :) thank you

We were ‘upgraded’ to the cabin, rather than the house. This obviously gave us more space and facilities and it was pretty well thought out with some nice touches. The only let-down were the bedroom curtains - bright yellow - which, when the floodlights were on at the back of the house at night, combined with the early rise meant that sleep wasn’t exactly great!

The house is in a lovely quiet location but within easy reach by car of Rosslare town for necessities or Wexford town for most other items. We also visited Kilmore Quay, Hook Head Lighthouse and Johnstown Castle which are all well worth a visit. The house is a recently updated cottage so most furnishings and fixtures are modern and mostly work well. The beds are very comfortable. Good wifi throughout the most of the house, although a bit patchy in the upstairs bedroom. The car charger was very useful for us.
Read the instructions you receive carefully, they are excellent and informative but the key point is that there are two lock boxes with two different codes!
There were some not so good aspects which we found annoying for our 4 night stay but I would say if you are only passing through for a night the house is perfectly fine.
Tuskar House by the Sea is located in Rosslare Harbour, a 2 minute drive from Rosslare Europort, a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 15 minute drive from Wexford town.

I was transiting by the ferry to England and arrived and left in the dark. I had one day in the area and went to Johnstown Castle and grounds which is not far away. It has recently been opened to the public. I wish the weather had been better so that I could have gone to the beach at Rosslare. Wexford town is close which was interesting to explore.

We had a good trip however two days before we sailed we received a text message from Stena line indicating the outward sail was cancelled. Advice was to go to Irish Ferries departing from Pembroke docks. This caused a great deal of inconvenience as both ferries were difficult to contact to re-arrange passage. Irish Ferries told us we needed to contact Stena Line before they would honour our booking. Then in the evening we received another text from Stena indicating that problems were resolved and the outward journey was on schedule. We were traveling from Kent and had arranged overnight stay in Fishguard so having to get to Pembroke was inconvenient especially when it all changed back to Fishguard!! Difficult to trust Stena line in the future.

Rosslare is the very South East Coast of Ireland and one of the main ports into Ireland - Road improvements are happening and development of the port. Surprised to see the supermarket close so early in the summer months .

I love Rosslare.
I love Rosslare. It’s famous for being a harbour town but it’s so much more than that. You have Rosslare Strand not far away (and the beautiful Curracloe Beach a little further afield), Our Lady Island, Enniscorthy (the site of the famous Vinegar Hill rebellion led by Wolfe Tone in 1798) and Wexford Town - so much to see!

I have been a frequent visitor to Rosslare Harbour, it has beautiful beaches nearby and usually lives up to the "Sunny South East " reputation. It is a very quiet place and I just feel relaxed there.
All the staff were really lovely to deal with, Reception, Night porter / concierge, bar staff. There was a major problem with car parking at Rosslare Harbour and the hotel allowed me to leave my car at the hotel for a few days and also helped me to contact a local taxi service, which I used for the 10 km or so trip to the harbour. Very nice bar food. Quiet location and I could easily have gone to the beach if I'd had time. This is a stretch of coast with beautiful beaches.
Quick and ready check in. Good communication and the host (Jonathan?) gave me info specific to my inward journey unprompted during check in. Walking distance to the ferry port and he gave me a heads up that the ferry was leaving earlier than advertised and what time I should get there to breeze through. Would throughly recommend
Location was ideal for an early-morning sailing from the adjacent ferry port. Rooms (plural - we were travelling as two couples) were comfortable, and spacious. A very early breakfast was available ahead of our ferry trip.
Overall excellent from the hospitality shown to us by Chris and Eileen (lovely people!!!!) Spotless clean with comfy beds. Outstanding food. Set in lovely grounds. I prefered staying here than at the Talbot Hotel Wexford!!!!
The hosts were So welcoming - The Best ever! great location - This property is very close to Rosslare Strand. The bedroom and recently renovated bathroom were exceptional. It’s very Special.
The staff at Ferryport House are so helpful & friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.
The rooms are modern, comfortable & clean
