Very clean affordable period hotel accommodation on Slane's main street. Charming old hotel. Excellent breakfast. Interesting, if limited, sights around the hotel. A few but not many places to eat in Slane. The local pub is a friendly place that encouraged us to bring in out take out food and eat it there. Street parking.

Host, Sandra, incredibly welcoming and friendly, and helpful. (Nick probably is as well but as it turned out, we never met him. Next time!). Property self-contained, very clean, tidy, and well laid out. Bed very comfortable. Great shower. Hot water easily available for basin / sink etc. Kitchen great for self catering (this kitchen had everything we needed to be able to cook a meal, and also had a fridge etc.) Hosts very generously welcomed us with milk, bread, butter, and an array of breakfast choices. Wow. Beautifully quiet location, suited us perfectly. Eir Code gets you to the door!

Our host, Donal, was fantastic. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Donal made excellent suggestions to what to do and how to get there. Bonus was a great breakfast before we left. Thank you so much for your extraordinary hospitality. Kelly and Tom

We came to Slane from the UK for a family wedding and were looking forward to visiting the area as well. However we were very unfortunate with our choice of accommodation and it became essential for us to find an alternative after one night. The help and care given by the staff of The Conyngham Arms Hotel who came to the rescue of four desperately unhappy elderly visitors to Slane was exceptional. Following a very distressing experience with the owner of a local B&B in Slane, namely Forest Hills Lodge (a H&S nightmare) the staff at the Conyngham Arms were all, without exception, the best examples of true Irish Hospitality and restored our spirits so we could enjoy the wedding and the rest of our stay in Ireland. We couldn't thank them enough and would definitely recommend this hotel.

lovely place, perfect for a visit to Boyne Valley because it’s in its middle , near Brú na Boinne and all other attractions. AndI was lucky to run into Gerry, a very nice taxi driver who took me everywhere for a fair price. Ask at the Tourist information office, where people are very helpful too.

Great location to tour the 'Sacred' capital of Ireland the seat of the ancient High Kings. More readily accessible information on ancient myth, legend, history and archaeology of the area would be great.

Slane Castle is well worth a visit, especially if you do the tour. The castle also has a distillery for those who enjoy whiskey. The Hill of Slane is very historic - where St Patrick lit the fire and brought Christianity to Ireland. It's best to have a car available as there are several important historical places nearby such as where the Battle of the Boyne was fought. Good maps for both the walking tour of the village and a car tour of the wider area are available free at 'The Hub' Tourist Office at the main crossroads, so go there first.
There's a restaurant at the castle, although it's a bit expensive, and several pubs and eateries in the village at more reasonable prices.
Everything was pretty good. The room itself was comfortable. The bed wasn't my favorite as it was just too worn to support me. I'm only 105lbs so anyone heavier might have awoken to a hurt back. Besides that, it was all good. the building itself was really cute. The town was super small but everything was right there -- pubs, small grocery store, etc. The hotel had it's own restaurant downstairs so that was perfect. I didn't have dinner there but the breakfast was great! Coffee was strong! All in all, I had a pleasant stay!
This is a beautiful and comfortable apartment attached to their house but completely separate. It is on a quiet lane surrounded by farms and other estates. It has a complete kitchen and they left us with an abundance of food to make a breakfast, including eggs, cheese, milk and orange juice in the refrig. There was bread, butter, jam, oatmeal and more snacks than we could ever eat! The hosts greeted us when we arrived and were so helpful. We thought the location was perfect to visit the stone age ruins in the area.
Our room was super comfy, we had a great sleep! The bed linen and towels of very high quality. We had a bottle of water in our room, at check-in, which was a nice touch. Just crossing the street from their sister hotel, where you can find the restaurant- food (dinner & breakfast) was yummy! There is another nice restaurant in the town, short walking distance from the hotel. You can also find a little market, walking distance, which was handy. And there is a bus stop is right there, at the hotel entrance.
We, my daughter and myself stayed for 3 nights.
Everything was as described and expected. Easy to find and the lockbox made getting in convenient.
Host was quick to respond to messages and helpful with questions. There were also some breakfast items and snacks left for us. Property was clean and comfortable. We attended a concert at Slane Castle which was a short walk which was invaluable at the end of the night. Had a great time visiting in and around Slane. We would stay again if in the area.
Nearly didn't book this hotel due to it's bad reviews.
But seen that on google maps the reviews were a lot better we gave it a try.
We were really happy with our room in one of the outhouses on the back. The staff was really friendly.
The hot water in our room didn't work but when we asked at the reseption if the could sort this, they tried to fix it but couldn't get a plumber out in time so we got a 50% refund on our stay witch was really fair.
The accommodation and the hosts are fantastic! I would have no hesitations of reccommending this rental to anyone. Absolutely spotless, so comfortable and the hosts went out of their way to meet our needs. We attended a wedding in nearby Tankardstown House and the hosts so kindly gave us a lift to the venue. So friendly and we really appreciate the kindness. We loved the food supplies and everything was definitely more than we expected. Thank you
We loved the hospitality and the warm welcome from Eileen. It is a beautiful house and the gardens were lovely to explore. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast table was spectacular. Lovely touches with the homemade bread and jams. Eileen was a great host, we would certainly recommend a stay at College Hill House. Great location for weddings at Tankardstown House.
Lovely area. Quiet, peaceful. Great location for seeing sights around Boyne Valley. Apartment was comfortable, just right for our family of 4. Nice to have 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room — all for the price of a single decent hotel room.
Terrific Host. Spotless and cosy. Donal tipped us off to Slane Abbey, just up the road with it's St Patrick connection. Plenty of room to park in the driveway or on the street. Donal is a great source of local information and happy to share it.
Lovely apartment for family of 4 to relax, recover from jet lag, and sight see in County Meath. It was easy to check in and staff were readily available. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and quiet at night.
Location was close to the town of Slane and also the historic site of Newgrange (Brú na Bóinne) which we wanted to visit. Also, the view from the property is second to none and very quiet and peaceful.
Great stay at the Conyngham Arms Hotel, stayed with family as was attending a wedding nearby and enjoyed it thoroughly. Clean, comfortable and charismatic rooms and staff were lovely. Thank you!
it’s a tiny but very lovely place. basically an extension of the Hotel across the street where you also do the Checkin and get the amazing breakfast. it was impeccable clean and tidy!
Perfect location. We stayed here for a wedding in Tankardstown House. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend having the cooked breakfast!
