Stillorgan is predominantly a suburban, residential area so not really for tourists. However it is easily accessible to the city center by bus and also you can take a 15 minute or so walk to the Luas (light rail system) which also brings you to the city center or even Dundrum shopping center which has cinemas, restaurants and mini golf for those rainy days with the kids.

Fabulous old hotel with lots of well preserved history.
Fabulous old hotel with lots of well preserved history. Easy to reach from the N11 coming from the Motorway. Area is lovely and peaceful, had to stay there because of the nearby Embassy which is reachable by walking.

The room was very run down and very old fashioned.
The room was very run down and very old fashioned. Dont know how it has a 5 star rating. I've stayed in 4 star nicer and more modern than it. The noise level was crazy. People from a wedding going in and out if eachothers rooms through the night. We reported it by phone to the duty manager. He offered us a different room but that long into the night we just didn't want too. He also said there was no noise so it was like he was saying we were lying. Put at a drafty terrible table for dinner. Asked to be moved.told no and then witnessed other residents being moved when they asked could they. Will not return.

your hotel was hopeless no heating,no soap liquid or other, ridiculous position of Tea coffee machine and kettle, Italian restaurant only. Had to walik through a kids play area with suitcases to get to elevator. No stopping at front of hotel so long walk with luggage. Breakfast area all chopped up with pillars not enough seats.

I booked the Stillorgan hotel as it was close to our daughter who rents near by and she was able to pick us up and we all travelled together to the musical Grease in Bord Gáis, most enjoyable. Then we all met again for breakfast in the hotel the next morning. So a most enjoyable and convenient time was enjoyed by all.
We only spent one night in the Talbot Stillorgan. The room was quiet and spacious and the bed very comfortable. We chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel but had a bar lunch when we arrived which was good. The staff were helpful and welcoming. There is free parking which is great. The hotel is located outside the main city centre but on a great bus line so getting into town was easy. It was reasonably priced and I would stay again.
We stayed Christmas week and it was just beautiful. Huge Christmas trees in the lobby and bar, lots of pretty decorations, open fire, a very Christmassy experience...if only it had snowed!! The bedrooms were spacious and the bed was so comfortable. A great hotel close to buses into town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens are picturesque. Breakfast was excellent and the 'garden room' was lovely to dine in.
There were a lot of really great things in the hotel.
The size of the room.
The bed was incredibly clean and comfortable. The shower was warm with good water pressure, although it was small.
The staff were polite and friendly although the check in process took slightly longer than the average hotel. The grounds the hotel is on were very picturesque. With loads of space
Large hotel south of Dublin City Centre, not far from the UCD campus. We're able to get an early check-in after a long day of travel which was a huge help. Breakfast each morning was really good start to the day with good variety and attentive service. Rooms were on the small side but comfortable. We didn't eat at the restaurant on site, but it looked great.
spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Dined in delightful Orangerie on first night. Menus clearly marked for allergens but not a great deal of choice for the gluten free. However, staff were flexible with other options. Breakfasts were excellent. All staff were professional, friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly. Large hotel with plenty of rooms and quiet spaces to be able to work. The hotel mostly caters for its suburban location. The Stillorgan Orchard Gastro Pub was great. The buses are really good and the airport bus goes right to the Talbot Hotel.
This was my second time staying here, and it was just as exceptional as the first time. Beautiful hotel on a beautiful property. Staff were great, my room
was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. Free parking and close proximity to UCD. Overall, I was a very happy guest!
The hotel was exceptionally clean..only thing I noticed was discarded vape on the window sill outside was there when we arrived and still there when we left..but inside was spotless..staff excellent and great value. No rip offs like other Dublin hotels well done
Beautiful hotel with charme and traditional exterior and interior. Great location with direct connection to the city centre. Room are spacious and comfortable, the dining room, restaurant and Orangerie are beautiful spaces to visit and spend time in.
I was working close by at UCD so this hotel was ideally placed to walk to / from campus.
The grounds are beautiful and the hotel has a lovely feel.
Staff were very pleasant and friendly throughout the property.
It was a very nice stay with helpful, courteous staff. Felt it was a very good value and offered a lovely breakfast. It went along with my whole experience in Ireland of people who are kind and caring.
Best hotel by far in Dublin for family get together.
Spacious inside with loads of sitting areas dotted around hotel and fab gardens outside.
Staff always so helpful and friendly.
Great location, bus service across from the hotel into the city centre, staff were very friendly and a lovely fellow at reception when we checked in. Ample free car parking area.
I like the historical aspect of the hotel, and the staff was very nice. A refrigerator was provided upon request for my room. The bed and the room or very comfy.
