Great place to stay right in the heart of the town. Very well equipped, had everything we needed for our stay. Very convenient location to get about the area, close to shops, bars etc. Parking out front. Good comfortable beds, very clean and tidy. Great Host.

Patricia the host was very accommodating as my flight was delayed and I had a lovely warm welcome when I arrived.
Facilities were wonderful with a stunning location both at sun set and sun rise.
Location was quiet and I had a wonderful night sleep, just a shame I wasn't staying longer!

Parking was outside the hotel and their is an area for unloading passengers and baggage. Initially had to ask for a room change, which was done with good grace. Room was spacious, clean and beds were very comfortable. E-suite was spotless. We were close to the lift which made life simpler for my disabled companion. Food was straightforward, of good quality, pleantiful and fairly priced. We booked dinner and a breakfast buffet was included in the price. I am coeliac yet there was plenty for me to choose from. Staff were eexcellent, particulary the lady organising the dining room with brisk efficiency and kindness.

We found swinford very central for travelling around the west,Knock,Galway,Sligo and Castlebar. We ate in the Gateway Hotel every day both breakfast and dinner were excellent,Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

There for family gathering a few miles away. Good situation to explore the surrounding area and....get to the sea. If self catering shops all within walking distance. On the whole excellent roads with the exception of the quirky single track roads with grass growing up the middle ....satnav seemed to have a penchant for finding a route using some of these L roads....beware😂😱. He became an important human rights advocate for here and other colonial countries, which have had very little voice in governments. Go visit the famine graveyard in Swinford, behind the hospital. Safe parking outside the front door covered by a camera. The apartment is VERY clean and comfortable. The owner Patricia was very welcoming and friendly. She left us some supplies for breakfast, eggs, bread, milk, cereals, butter, jam, tea and coffee. Thankyou Patricia, we enjoyed our stay. I would not hesitate to recommend Swinford apartment and I would certainly stay again if I'm in the area.
