Thanks the owner of the house to arrange this house for us. We felt like staying at home. We arrived late at night because we had to drive back to see Northern light in Reykjavik which came at around 9 PM. We found a lovely welcome note with chocolate toffee on the table. How thoughtful of the owner. All six of us had a nice sleep after long journey. The kitchen was very well equipped. Sorry for overheating one pot. In the morning we had no time to say hello to the owner since we had to go to Secret Lagoon on time that we booked.

The little cabin was just right, a cosy warm home for a night. It was excellent size with 2 rooms, 1 shower-toilet and a kitchen-living room. It felt like home from the minute we stepped in. It was clean and tidy, with all equipment and things we needed. The place is super peaceful.
We really loved the personalised welcoming message on the table, it was sweet and made a difference you took the time for this, thank you. :)

I had booked a cottage. Because there was a technical problem in the cottage on the day of arrival, I got a room with a private bathroom instead of a cottage. The room was clean, cozy. I have to highly commend the beds, duvets and sheets. I didn't want to get out of this bed, better than at home.

Linda the host was super friendly and easy with great communication. Before we entered the house, we weren't much impressed as it's a house we have been passing by for the past few days around the island.
The moment we were inside, we fell in love with it. It's not a unit to be rented out for income but it's a HOME. A real home of Icelandic, from bed linen to living hall and kitchen you will be able to tell. Thank you so much to Linda for hosting us with her wonderful home. We love it the best among the places we stayed throughout our island tour.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming property owned by a wonderfully kind Icelandic couple. The house, brimming with character and an array of unique trinkets, offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that reflects the rich history and care of its owners.
What truly made our stay memorable was the incredible hospitality of our hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome, from showing us around their beautiful farm to introducing us to their friendly goats and barn cat—a delightful experience for animal lovers.
For those looking for a genuine Icelandic experience and the opportunity to connect with local culture and nature, this is a perfect choice. We're grateful for the hospitality and the unique memories we've taken with us.
