Great location for watching the Northern Lights as the property is situated on a camping ground (there are 4 smaller cabins and space for campers to pitch their tents on the grounds nearby) with minimal light pollution (the property has very large windows). There are 4 very large bedrooms which could very comfortably fit 8 to 10 people (as two of the rooms have bunk beds), 2 dining tables for 8 diners and a very comfortable lounge with sofas. Fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave and 2 stove tops which was excellent for cooking meals in our big group. The hot water for the shower was not very warm, but the staff on site came immediately to remedy this - very good service! There was an extra separate toilet too, very useful for large groups!

This was our first night outside of Reykjavik. So for urban dwellers this fits the in the middle of nowhere description. It’s wonderful hideout with snow covered mountains in the distance. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ.

This was the last accomodation during our trip through Iceland, we spent three nights here and it was perfect to calm down and relax after an exhausting journey.
We were two couples and the house was easily big enough for us, it is well suited for way bigger groups.
There are two very new and stylish bathrooms and the bedrooms feel new as well. Everything felt super clean and the huge kitchen was well equipped.
The location is great to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula in a day trip or visit the Bifröst area and much more.
Our host was very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information on what to do in the area and even invited us to visit them when they were gathering the sheep.
A very special treat for me was that I was able to see the northern lights easily from just behind the house. Of course you still need luck with the weather but the farm is in a very dark environment with only very little light pollution, so you can easily spot the northern lights if they occur(For the stargazing enthusiasts: this is a Bortle 3 or maybe even Bortle 2 class area!). You even get the best angle from the kitchen so you don't have to spend the entire night outside freezing and waiting for them, just wait inside until it's worth going outside. I took some amazing pictures here, just behind the house without much effort.
I am very happy with this accomodation as the finale of our trip!

The apartment is spacious considering its chararacteristics. Kitchen well equipped and with consumables in neat conditions. Everything clean. Bed very confortable. Close to the main road althogh not immediately detectable since it is just 'along the road' without street address.
