The two guys that run this place have apparently taken it on in the last couple of years and are very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. There is a pool table in the main “hall” area. Owners have done the "extra" mile here. It was the most welcooming experience in a hotel/room i ever had. They had thought of every need you may have. You can find anything you want in the house with instructions, from how to make your waffles (they offer you all the ingredients there with homemade jam) to musical instruments, to turn on the hot pool so that you find it ready when you go. Highly recommened. And the best location for northern lights, we just went out of the house and we saw the magical show of northern lights above us.

The house is beautiful located at the edge of the fjord, There is another house just next to it. There is enough privacy for both houses. The interior is made with love. I loved the spacious bathroom. The bed was very comfy. When the sun shines it can get very hot inside, but we could open all kind of windows, so it was no problem, i liked the sustainability of using the sunheat.

I had a lovely stay here. Very comfy bed, beautiful views, nice kitchen and bathroom and very, very quiet. A real Icelandic experience which I am so happy to have experienced. The host was very welcoming and friendly and told me a lot about sheep farming in Iceland. Just be prepared for a fairly long gravel road. It is in the middle of nowhere.

What a place! We were greeted by Oskar and his dog and given the grand tour which far exceeded our expectations. Oskar had clearly poured his heart and soul into the place and it showed. It had a very homely feel. The bedroom was comfortable with proper blinds that kept the light out. The bathroom was immaculate and well finished, there was even a lounge room upstairs for guests to chill in. The kitchen was well equipped and well labelled. Oskar gave us great tips on nearby attractions which we would otherwise have missed. He was easily the best host on our 15 day tour of Iceland! The greatest highlight of this guesthouse was obviously the arctic foxes that came out to play in the evening. We spent hours in the field photographing them, they came right up to us.
