The property is good, clean and the owner is super helpful, supporting us in all we needed at our arrival.
The hotel had great beds and great soap at the showers. Worth booking it as it is close to a nice lake for a final walk before dinner and also nearby some thermal baths ( you need to pay).

breathtaking location and close to laugarvatn geothermal area. We especially like the country charm of the cottage, with coloring books and games provided for the family. They provided a baby chair for the dinner table and overall, we had a great stay.

A little heaven on earth. The cottage is very cosy and confortable. The little river just outside in the garden make the surroundings so peaceful. It is the perfect place to watch the northern lights.

Everything was good. Quiet place, nice clean room, good breakfast, restaurant directly in front of the hotel. We enjoyed hot tub outside after a long hiking day. Perfect place to stay on the Golden Circle.

I loved this place.
I loved this place. It was perfect location for different places to visit such as Geyster, Pingvilllar (National Park), etc. The accommodation was cosy and lovely. The owners were friendly, helpful and thoughtful; always informed me and my friends about the weather and issues with the hire car. We loved the scenery of the lake especially visiting the hot geothermal bath nearly every night. the last night before we returned to the city, we saw Northern Lights! that was the highlight of the short break. We would go back and stay there again. Loved it.

We chose it as a night stop between golden circle and Vik; village has thermal baths but we had already had thermal spa at blue lagoon, so we didn’t try these baths; There are at least three places for dinner :) The village is not worth for a longer stay or you can find a more attractive place ;)AAnonymousLithuania - 8.0Scored 8.0

My guesthouse was comfortable and pleasant. I wished I had more time to enjoy the Fortuna. My hike at 10pm was delightful. I cannot recall ever smelling fresher air. The lupines, birches and pines were lovely. It was easy to get to all of the sites on the Golden Circle from there. Would gladly go back.NathanielUnited States

The rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. I realized that I stayed here (in the same room!) 10 years ago when it was a youth hostel. There is a nice common area with a view of the lake, coffee and tea and a bar. The breakfast was nice (not included) and there is a lovely bistro a short walk away and a basic grocery next door. The bird life along and on the lake is wonderful - we heard lions calling in the evening. Fontana spa is nearby.

Nice wall to wall wood paneling including ceiling. Super clean. Close to Fontana spa and Efstidalur II, Kerid, bruarfoss and Gullfoss. Host provided milk for coffee and tea. There is even a bbq grill outdoor. Great privacy and best value for family traveling. Highly recommended!
