I think, there is a big problem with hotels and apartments in Italy. But I was really surprised with this hotel. I expected much worse considering I am in Liguria :)

The location is fantastic. The train station is a 10 minute walk away and is a central line. The town is so nice and full of history. The beach is a 10-15 walk with a fantastic selection of restaurants, there is also lots of retail shopping.

Chiavari itself is not a tourist destination, but it is a very friendly city . It has plenty options for shopping and dining. The location is a perfect intermediate point if you are visiting Cinqueterre for one side, and Santa Margherita and Portofino on the other site. Transportation by train to those places is easy and no expensive. Personnel at the train ticket office speaks fluent English and are very helpful when planning you route.

We stayed in Chiavari cause we didn’t find another appropriate accommodation in Cinque Terre, but I’m so glad it happened this way, because Chiavari is one beautiful small town (but not too small), charming and interesting. In my opinion it is more interesting than Cinque Terre. There are a lot of restaurants, bakeries, different shops, beautiful streets, typical italien architecture, sea side and so on. We stayed for two days there, but I will come again for sure, at least for four days or more. It is close to Portofino and Cinque Terre (in a between), has better parking options, there is also a train station and trains go very often to different destinations. Chiavari is a pretty little place right on the beach.
Chiavari is a pretty little place right on the beach. The town centre is porticoes with lots of nice little restaurants. It gets very crowded and expensive in summer, but off season its a lovely place to visit.
The cemetery up the hill is lovely and the centre of town has a nice antiques market one sunday a month. There is a bit of art deco architecture.

Chiavari is a perfect choice if you want to visit around Cinque Terre and Portofino. The prices are great compared to other cities and is very easy to get from Chiavari to visit them by train. We managed to visit everything we had on the list: Cinque Terre, Portofino, San Frutuosso, Genoa, S. Margherita etc. The beach in Chiavari is not that great if you are looking for stunning blue water, but it was easy to travel to other beaches, such as Monterosso.

We have been to Chiavari many times because it combines so many things we enjoy. The sea of course, but also a wonderful evening passagiata, as well as absolutely divine restaurants. The town is compact, with good shopping, ample (paid) parking and delightful piazzas.
Great location, big, spacious apartment, very clean with all that you might need. Chiavari is charming town on the sea side. The owner is very nice he even waited till midnight for us to arrive. The building is very nice and clean just 3 minutes walk to the sea and 5 min to the center and train station. Washing machine and dishwasher is a great adventage also. You can travel to 5 terre and other places with a train so you don't need a car really. But if you do come by car there is free parking around the apartment.
We visit Chiavari often but, until now, haven’t found the perfect place. 3 room guesthouse is wonderful and we will return. Yes it is next to the train but the beds were wonderful and we slept with no problem. There’s a kitchen, sitting rooms and balcony as well as the private bedroom and HUGE bathroom. the proprietress was so warm and helpful. Do take her advice on restaurants—all of her recommendations were great. and who could complain waking up to this ceiling?
it was very clean, and the host are kind and helpfull, she arranged our arrived to the property by her freinds car, and also when we check out she also arrived us to the chiavari station.
the property at the mounten, very quite place to stay in.
little far from the center of chiavari, theres bus to get you to center, but you should know the time table of bus and can use amt genova app to buy tickets.
its very good place to stay in chiavari.
This is one of the loveliest places we stayed on our two month trip. The room was beautiful and the bathroom! Bigger than some hotel rooms we’ve been to. Staff was gracious and helpful. Additionally, there was a notebook with suggested itineraries and restaurant recommendations. Location is perfect—very close to both passagiata and to the sea
The room was very cosy, just like in the pictures, with a small balcony. The place was spotless clean, comfy bed, after a long day we had the perfect sleep. The apartment is 5 min walking from the railway station and it was perfect for our short trip in the area, visiting from Chiavari both Portofino and Cinque Terre.
The location was great, 5 minutes walking to city center or beach and it’s quite easy to visit portofino from Chiavari. Paulo is nice and helpful and he gave us tips for restaurants and places to visit. The breakfast is also good and private parking can be used for a small price which I recommend.
Excellent authentic experience, small but very cozy plus the boat is parked right by the port entrance near all the restaurants and WC. Host was wonderful, made us feel very welcome.
City centre is near by foot plus free car park is near too. Portofino is 20 min away by car. 100% recommend
Very warm welcome in Chiavari; this is an apartment with everything you need! Very kind and accomodating host! Chiavari is a good place to stay to explore both the very nice city itself and cities close by, such as Portofino. I would recommend this apartment for solo travellers as well.
Staff were very kind helpful and polite at all times. Room was comfortable, had everything one needed, kettle, tea and coffee was supplied, room cleaned daily, breakfast good. We aet a few times at the hotel restaurant even on Christmas day. It was first class. Location is amazing.
Hotel Ferrari was very nice. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods and was very large. The room was comfortable. The location was perfect very close to every thing in the main part of town. Overall the stay was very good.
great stay in central chiavari. pick up of keys was simple. apartment is a good layout and setup. Very comfortable. Good stable WIFI. Balcony was very nice and peaceful. short walking distance to beach, train station and downtown everything!
The hotel is in perfect location, a few minutes from train station and the beach. The receptionist girls are very helpful in every question. Breakfast was good but no vegetables but croissants and coffee was delicious.
Friendly and lovely staff. Great location and food. One of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever seen. Excellent in-room coffee, too!
The very hot spa on the balcony of our room was a perfect end to the evening.
Service always nice and welcoming, rooms are silenced so you can enjoy the silence of the room and find a restful and relaxing night. Whenever available it's my best choice in the area.
