Fantastic little castle with an amazing view from the upper ( and lower) terrace.
The bedroom was not huge but very comfortable with everything we needed. Attached was a sitting room.
The restaurant was in the village and food was great.

This place is AWESOME! Probably the most most beautiful B&B I've ever been in. And I travel a LOT! Salvatore did an amazing 5-year long refurbish and OMG... A traditional village house with everything you need. Tasteful, peaceful, anywhere you look. Plus the town and the whole area are simply amazing. The day we arrived it was Salvatore's 60th birthday. He showed us to our room... and immediately invited us to the party with his friends and family. 2 total strangers! That's how welcoming he and everyone we met in the area is. Can't wait to come back!

Breakfast was small but good.
The staff treated us like friends, they were super hospitable. Even when we came for breakfast 15 min late, they didn’t hesitate to serve us breakfast & coffee. Upon arrival, they immediately offered us restaurant recommendations, personally and check-in / -out was very easy.
Free parking was always available.
Every room had a little veranda (where you had enough space & privacy to even do a little workout).
All facilities worked flawlessly.
If you want a Sardinian-like stay near Orosei, then I can really recommend this place!

The friendliest and gentlest landlady I have ever met. As an Asian traveller, I did not encounter any racial discrimination during my days in Sardinia. Also as a tourist, I respect and cherish every flower, plant and tree on this beautiful island. The islanders here are simple, kind and genuine, and they treat every visitor with sincerity from the bottom of their hearts. They don't raise prices unreasonably during the peak season.
We arrived at our accommodation late that day and it was almost 23:00 when we went out to look for food, we were greeted by the owner of “Bar Ristorante Pizzeria Il Ritrovo”. The TV in the Bar is showing “Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo”, Hearing the Ennio tune, it was as if I was in the bistro in the film. I had the best seafood pizza I've ever had in my life! And ended up getting a treat on the bill from a local resident of the Bar for the great conversation we had!
Everything about this place was a perfect bliss and I would definitely go back to see these lovely people again!

Keep in mind that out of season there is very limited offer for dining out as the town is very deserted. Travelling Sardinia out of season is difficult in the way that no opening hours on google apply. You need to be quite patient and inventive with food. Nevertheless, Galtelli is just what we've needed - peace and quiet in the spring sun.
100% recommending to walk (a little too long on paved street) or drive (and park halfway) up the hill above Galtelli directly from town - there is an amazing view and nice vegetation.
A restaurant called 'Sa Cantina' was basically the only option open to eat in town in March, but food was amazing. Best eat of the trip, definately recommend!
Galtelli is a great location to explore east Sardinia from.

A quiet village.
A quiet village. We found two very accommodating restaurants both with excellent food. If you are driving streets are very narrow. Good as a base. Be aware not a lot of English spoken so prepare yourself with some Italian
Location was great to explore the local beaches (Cala Orosei, Cala Ginepro, Liberotto, Oasi Biderosa) and other areas (San Teodoro, Cala Gonone) were within 45 minutes drive. Hotel room was spacious and clean and my personal favourite was the useful shelves for storage in the room; bathroom, kitchen and fridge were all of comfortable size, plenty of outside space to have dinner. Pool was clean and just like on the pictures. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. In summary, an excellent B&B hotel for a family of four.
Antico Borgo, the location and everything around it feels like you came to an entirely different era. The place has a unique vibe to it and you feel it the moment you step inside. The rooms were really clean and well made.
The owner Andrea, was one of the most caring/helpful person i have ever met in any of my trips. We got a flat tire when we reached Galtelli, He helped us find a place to fix it and even accompanied us all the way.
Overall it was a unique experience and highly recommended.
The room is quite small but cozy. The city is quiet, we slept like babies. Very good option if you plan to be active and need a room just to rest and sleep.
Extra bonus! The hotel has 2 lovely cats to make a stay even better.
Special thanks to manager Andrea who was extremely friendly and professional.
We could look at some rooms and decide which one we wanted. We appreciated the pool. The hotel is well situated, if you want a quiet place from where you are able to reach the mountains as well as the coast. We could pay by credit card although the description says that you have to pay cash.
The facility is located in the old part of Galtelli, a very atmospheric village in the mountains, with old buildings and narrow streets. A magical location where you feel as if you have moved back in time. The facility itself - a good idea, rooms with entrances from the courtyard.
The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Located in the heart of the old town, just a short walk from all the main attractions. The breakfast was excellent. There is free public parking around the corner. Roads are very narrow there.
Amazing look and spookiness of a medieval castle. Small but still a castle. There are bats hanging outside the walls.
Very clean.
Plenty of parking space, mind you we were out of season.
For 2 stars hotel it is truly excellent.
The location is fantastic. You take breakfast on one level but there is a top patio to the Castello from which you can see all over Galtelli. Breakfast is a choice of savoury or sweet and we took one each and shared.
Stunning view! The staff was very helpful (dinner’s recommendation) The breakfast was nice change from the traditional italian breakfasts :) The location of the hotel allows for greater exploration of the area.
Great and friendly hosts, nicely situated in historic centre of Galtelli. Lots of privacy and private parking (make sure to enter straight to not scratch the underside of your car :-) )
Large and lovely apartment, super clean, lovely family who owns it who wishes you welcome :) Very good aircon, and you can walk to everything you need in Galtelli.
