The staff were amazing. From Bruno at the front desk to the restaurant staff and the cleaning ladies, everyone went above and beyond. They were professional and smiling - and not in a fake way, but true to their warm, Mediterranean culture.
In addition, the exterior design - most notably the pool and the orange and lemon trees - are the main asset.
The restaurant was good, but not great. In particular the dinner menu could use a few more traditional no-frills local dishes. The haute cuisine approach did not fully deliver.

A lovely hotel with great facilities and very nice staff. They have a very good restaurant. We had a wonderful view of Etna from our balcony. After some stressful driving in Sicily we enjoyed two quiet days by the pool.

A modern, stylish and comfortable boutique hotel. You are surrounded by natural wood, quality contemporary furniture and fittings, beautiful art. The place is spacious with lots of natural light and rooms are lovely. Our host Iolande looked after us very well and was in touch pre-arrival; guided us to the location; recommended restaurants and places to visit. She also upgraded us to a superior room which was outstanding and provided a lovely breakfast. The superior rooms had their own communal lounge and kitchen area giving much more space to relax.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. It is ideally located for visiting Etna and the surrounding villages, countryside and coast, very quiet, yet only 20km from Catania airport.
