The room was quite big and the view was excellent (you could see the Monte Civetta peak from the balcony). The staff was very helpful recommending places to go visit / hike. Also the Spa area is in a good status having a sauna, steam bath, hot tub, kneipp. Reasonably close to the Marmolada cable car, but unfortunately these were closed when we were there.

The breakfast was very good. Also dinner was on very good level. The staff of hotel was very frendly and prepare help us with everything. But special thanks to ouners of this hotel, Mrs. Sonia and her son Ivan. Those people are fantastic and creating very nice atmosfere of this hotel every day. 😀 A quirky beautiful property in the most beautiful location. Room and bathroom small but spotlessly clean. Dinner was delicious. Attention to detail from all the staff was excellent. We even had a card with our name on the table for dinner. Easy to walk into town although nothing was open at this time of year. Would definitely visit again.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, nice and great value for money. Rooms are spacious with clean showers and towels every day. The owner is really nice ( his dog too 😀). There's a nice "family" mood. Breakfast is awesome and you should try dinner with 3 dishes too. There's space for skis and a dedicated room for ski boots so they are dry and warm in the morning. Ski bus stop is 50m from hotel. I really liked our stay and would come back anytime!

Alpenhotel La Montanara offers panoramic views. Set in Sottoguda village, just 3 km outside Rocca Pietore, it is ideal for hiking in summer and skiing in winter with a ski bus every 30 minutes.
