The room was clean, big enough for three people, breakfast was delicious, there was almost too many choices what to eat.

The estate is amazing with great views of vineyards all around! The location is great to visit Siena, San Gimignano and close to airports both in Firenze and Siena.
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Poggibonsi this weekend is £129 or, for a 4-star hotel, £111. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Poggibonsi for this weekend cost on average around £319 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. Much bombed during WWII it still has some historic buildings in the town and in the surroundings including the archeological park, It has good public transport connections and is within easy reach of the spectacular and touristy town of San Gimignano by bus and other places such as the less developed Colle Val d'Elsa.

Great location to make as a base for a few days in Tuscany.
Great location to make as a base for a few days in Tuscany. Loads of places to drive to everyday. Can drive and park at train station to places like Cinque Terre and Florence instead of driving to these places which will be a nightmare

If you come for a short holiday, maybe you can find a better place. Poggibonsi is not actually bad, but it does have a good non-European population which may not seem like 'real Italy' for you. The town seems a bit run down and dusty so not the ideal place for a vacation. It's the kind of place that shows you clearly that in 30 years the Italian population there will disappear. Otherwise, the place is acceptable and you can access any major landmark from Tuscany fast, with a car of course.

It is a great little town right off the main road between Florence and Siena so it is very easy to get too. They have restaurants, shops, and stores in town for everything you need. If you are going for wine country it lies on the far western side of the Chianti Reserve region and is a 45 minute drive to the heart of the wineries.

Very nice town on excellent position in heart of Toscana.
Very nice town on excellent position in heart of Toscana. Excellent train connection to Firenze and Siena. Especially wants to recommend bar "American 1950 Diner" which makes you feel like in movie Grease ... exceptional and food was amazing.
Lorenzo and Federica made my trip enjoyable. They were beyond accommodating. most of the staff were very friendly and willing to help. the property had specious rooms, large bathrooms with great water temperature. there’s a restaurant and pool and tennis court on site. Ac worked extremely well. breakfast had a good amount of options. and though the restaurant is closed for lunch the hotel will provide sandwiches, snacks and cocktails on request. not too far from the city center or train station.
Our stay was unforgettable thanks to one thing - Benjamin from the hotel staff! This guy made our vacation perfect! He was so kind, helped us with recommendations and made reservation phone call for a restaurant for us! He speaks English and Italian and he has so much patience. Additionally, he knew we were in honeymoon and he did everything to make us happy, including going personally to our room before we arrived and putting a cold bottle of wine for us. Our staying was amazing thanks to him.
A large, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished apartment full of lovely touches - lace curtains, glass container for cotton pads in the bathroom, beautiful blankets and sheets, a great selection of tourist literature and an adorable coffee machine with a choice of coffees. The hosts are exceptionally kind and helpful. The apartment is very conveniently located close to the stations of Poggibonsi, so you can explore Siena and San Gimigniano and come back to great comfort in the evening.
We landed in Pisa and we rented a car to drive into Poggibonsi. I liked the central location of Poggibonsi that allows you to access major points of interest from all over Tuscany, such as Val d'Orcia, Chianti and the rest. The house is large enough to accommodate 3 people for a week and you have a complete kitchen at your disposal, if you love cooking. Also, you are exactly in the historic center and not that far from CooP, so you can buy anything you need and cook.
Even though we arrived 5 hours due to multiple traffic jams on the highway, the host still took time to organize a dinner at a restaurant nearby. This is an example of the small details that made our stay very pleasant and a definite recommendation. The location and the view always makes it possible to just spend a beautiful evening at the house and enjoy it looking at the stars or by chatting with other guests.
Beautiful countryside views, nice pool area, delicious breakfast, not many people. If you plan your vacation on foot, be prepared for a 2km hike from Poggibonsi train station to the accomodation. Reaching the spot on foot is quite safe, not a lot of traffic.
The people were lovely and extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history of the hotel! The property is gorgeous. The pool was nice and the breakfast was great. The bathroom had a large shower and excellent water pressure.
Very, very pleasant and attentive customer service over the phone. We got lost and got help to find the hotel in perfect English. Thank you for that. Also, the rooms are fully equipped, clean, and just pleasant to stay at.
Impromptu trip to this area. Amazing breakfast, attentive service, huge sunny rooms, beautiful gardens. Restaurant on site, easy access to nearby town for parks, coffee, gelato, outstanding pizza. Will return.
Super old building, but given this, they still did an amazing job up keeping the hotel with all the amenities.
Rooms were big, beds were comfortable, food was good, and the staff were friendly.
Check in process was easy and the rooms worked well for our family of five. The included breakfast was convenient and a bit more than what is typical of many European hotels.
Really kind and willing to help host, clean and beautiful rooms, excellent Italian breakfast, spacious underground garage, near the heart of Poggibonsi
