Praia Art Resort - Small Luxury Hotels of the world, hotel in Steccato

Praia Art Resort is the 5-star Borgo in the heart of the Ionian coast of Calabria, on the border with the protected marine area of Isola Capo Rizzuto. 20 meters from the private white sand beach.

The private beach side location and the beach bar for cocktails at sunset were a little bit of paradise. The hotel was always clean and staff were professional, friendly and helpful. It was great to have your own subbed allocated for your stay. We enjoyed the on-site Michelin * restaurant, Pietremare, where service was excellent and the food very good. The poolside restaurant was also good for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the option of massages on site.

I arrived at the hotel after a long journey with bus from Milan to Crotone and I found the owner and the staff very friendly. It’s not the tourists or visitor season for that small town, so I found many shops closed. The owner (manager) accompanied me in his car late in the evening to get a pizza. Then the day of check-out when it was raining he gave me a ride to the next town (Botricello) where there is a train station to get back to Crotone.
