Staff during the day was helpful, even though they didn't speak much English. However, the person that checked me in at night, asked for my passport and wanted to keep it overnight, so I told him he couldn't do that, and gave it back to me. He didn't even showed me the room or helped with the luggage.
Good wifi and good location only.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Europa and can recommend it. My room was large, comfortable, very quiet and well equipped with plenty of storage space and a large writing table – and bathrobe and slippers. Staff were all exceptionally welcoming, attentive and helpful and offered me a welcome drink. Breakfast was plentiful and offered good choices.
Hotel Europa is in a perfect location close to the Aragonese Castle and the Archaeological Museum. It’s a flat 1.9km walk from the railway station, which I did in both directions with my luggage. For more convenience there is a bus stop near the hotel.

Splendid property, everything was excellent and excedeed our expectations. Special mention to the restaurant and the staff there, they are amazing! Also, while accomodation is on the very expensive side, the prices at the restaurant and bar were very reasonable and excellent for the quality and service

An interesting city that we were using for a stop off point from Lecce. The city is by the water with an old castle and a fishing industry. There is also a steel mill and a lot of cargo ships in the bay. There is an old town but it is mostly abandon from the 1970’s so doesn’t compare at all to old towns in other Italian cities. Work underway to rejuvenate the old town and waterfront but seems to be very slow and will take 10-20 years. We caught the train to Taranto from Brindisi but found it difficult to get one to Amalfi so ended up catching a bus (which worked well). In summary, if your in the area spend a couple of days but don’t plan a special trip to Taranto.

Having visited the lagoon and port area there is the ancient city to see, finally the must is the archeological museum. The marked is down-town, the fishermen do their job and you will find all you need near-by. With the 5-day abonnement of the railway there is an alternative to the car-rental.

Restaurants seem to be closed on Mondays.
Restaurants seem to be closed on Mondays. The old town is not really what you would expect. Almost no bars, restaurants or coffee shops.
Better to stroll along the newer parts of the city. Plenty of shops and places for an espresso or dinner. If you have a car: drive south along the coast (30-60 minutes) and you will find plenty of beaches with white sand and excellent clear water to swim and play in....

For me Taranto is the best city in Puglia, it has absolutely everything, city on 2 seas (Citta dei due mare) city life and beach life combined. It has the most beautiful castle, and Citta Vecchia where the cathedral San Cataldo has to be seen to be believed. Lots of beautiful churches, a museum full of wonderful gold and antiques. Always a buzz in the city with lots to do, and you are so close to stunning beaches too, a short drive away. You also have to taste a Spritz, and a panzerotto (watch though you don't burn your mouth)

It was an interesting city for one time visit.
It was an interesting city for one time visit. The waitresses were rude in the Irish pub, another Italian restaurant was told that all table are reserved in spite of the place was absolutely empty. There weren't bars except for one on the seaside boulevard but that was good. To find parkplace is a big challenge but we were lucky and we always found which generally took 5-10 minuits.
Lovely, clean, and we’ll situated hotel in the old town of Taranto. The staff are very helpful and kind - especially Fabio, who checked us in when we arrived and went out of his way to help us to find a restaurant for lunch as it was a public holiday and most places were fully booked. He also took the time to explain all the sights to see and things to do during our stay.
The hotel is very charming and the breakfast is also good. I recommend this hotel and visiting the interesting city of Taranto.
My Deluxe Double had two balconies with a view. I was on the third floor so could leave the drapes open without concern. My heaven! The room was spacious and well appointed. Nice bathroom and shower. Elevator quiet and efficient. Foe breakfast you could pre-select from a generous list of sweet and salty choices. It was served to me in the dining room. I especially appreciated the staff. They provided a map and explained sites to see, and were always very polite and professional.
The staff were very accommodating and extremely polite. Any issue with the booking or any questions regarding the area were easily answered with joy. At the time of our stay tourist season was drawing to a close, so there were less people in the hotel. The breakfast provided held a large variety of food; anywhere from on the spot meals to pastries set out to snack on. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated. The Wi-Fi was extremely fast and super easy to access.
The apartment is very well thought of. The location and orientation are carefully picked by the architect host, Domenico for someone who doesn't have to be at the center of Taranto all the time.
The interior is modern and elegant and all furniture, and decorations are of high aesthetics. Of course, all were clean and organized.
Internet was working fine and its speed was adequate.
A private parking spot at a closed parking is reserved for Casa di Ro guests.
I don’t know where to start or to stop. This place is magnificent!!!! The photo’s on the site are nice but don’t even come close to reality. Everything in this appt is TOP. Luxury, design, cosy, clean, spacious, silence … here you feel ‘at home’. This place & Anna deserve a score of 12 on 10. You can’t find a better place in Taranto!!
Everything was at the highest level, the room is perfect, everything is clean and beautiful, the room has all the amenities, smart TV, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, super coffee maker, everything you need for comfort, everything is at a high level. . the place where the hotel was located was in the center of Taranto,
It was very bad expirience....bad area..very poor..couldnt open the door with the key...i left at once and i dont care about the money or tefund..i took 3 stars hotel and thnks god i had a room clean in a normal area in one of the hotels on the promenade...please pass this view as a very very bad facility
Freshly renovated and a stunning result. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the balcony view over the fishing boats. loved the mixture of the neighborhood old and new, really enjoyed walking around the block and feeling the history before it. I would highly recommend this Hotel accommodation.
Great location, a beautiful property with exquisite furnishings, large room, plenty of space. Host provided so many extras from water, milk, breakfast supplies, and items such as juices etc making a stay at Suite Cavour the perfect choice of an Airbnb in Taranto
Since it was the first time to stay in Taranto, I chose this facility due availability, but if I had to choose again, I would choose a place in the new town. There is nothing wrong with this hotel, but there are more options of restaurants in new tow.
Fantastic location right in the heart of Taranto. Really nicely decorated. Host was very nice & welcoming. Close to old Taranto. Breakfast was delicious. Croissants, ham & cheese sandwiches, juice, cappuccino & Americana coffee.
The location the hospitality the rooms and value for money all you need for a great stay in Taranto. The furnishing of rooms was so Italian and terrace was better than photos as it looked straight out onto water fishing boats ect .
Beautiful garden, beautiful house, amazing host (thanks Pio). A lovely place to spend a long weekend. Sandy beaches within driving distance, small coves within walking distance. Ample cookware provided. Local buses to Taranto.
Clean apartment that was close to all main area of Taranto (within 15 minutes). Apartment was cleaned during our 4 day stay. Good kitchen facilities. Very helpful staff helped us to get a taxi when we arrived in Taranto.
We met the manager, She is a wealth of knowledge and shared great recommendations. We love Hotel Europa and their sister Relais Histo, both properties are great and amazing respectively.
Carmen, the host was very supportive. The apartment in excellent condition, even better than in the photos. Location is perfect. I will do! Recommend it.
