I was driving and arrived super late, close to midnight. I had to pop back out to adjust parking nearby and the staff were there and helped me when I got back, with the ameditites. Seriously above and beyond.

The experience was something special. The breakfast and dinner were amazing, especially dinner felt like a feast. It was a 10/10 meal. The rooms were spacious and the location is perfect, right next to the main points of interest. There are a few activities included, such as meditation, morning prayer and the fire ritual, all not to be missed. The staff is very attentive and super kind.

Outstanding and unique experience. Warm welcome (we arrived early and were able to check in immediately). Good location for exploring Koyasan town. Beautiful surroundings, stunning interior decor in the dining rooms, nice onsen, astonishingly good vegetarian food. The temple master made us feel very welcome at the prayer service and explained everything. Super friendly staff and smiling monks :)

The wonderful Sanso Amanasato is worth visiting this tiny hamlet. The hotel is heavenly - the onsen, the rotemburo, the gardens, and the FOOD was the best meal we had in Japan. You can also take the hotels bikes and bike over to the shrine nearby.
