We loved the location, it's a beautiful view from up on the hillside and you can fully enjoy it from the outdoor areas in front of the guesthouse.
The house itself is lovely. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the living room. The room was cosy and we loved being able to slide open the doors and have direct access to nature.
Takao is a consummate host - very friendly, excellent communication, and he has thought of absolutely everything you could possibly want.

The place was amazing.
It has a private view to the famous bridge from the Anime and the living room and kitchen also the bath room were fully renovated .
The garden is also pretty wide and you can do some bbq with your family or friends.
The sky at night is so impressive . I have never saw that much stars in my life .(that’s how much the air is clean.)
Amenity wise there was everything I needed.
I am very looking forward to come back with my family next time .

I highly recommend staying more than one night to truly soak up this beautiful guesthouse and its people and location. Do try the river view, the sound is beautiful to go to sleep to and the view is incredible to wake up to and enjoy while relaxing on the verandah. The guesthouse is wonderfully clean and light with wood throughout, and the bed is most comfortable. The guesthouse is in a great location for car trips between 3 major routes and right next to a convenience store, but it's so peaceful - at night especially you feel like you're in the deep countryside. Last but not least are the incredibly attentive and welcoming hosts who will help out with any questions, David is Portuguese and speaks fluent English which is a rare treat in these parts. It truly is a beacon of hospitality. If you contact the hosts well in advance for a longer stay you can get to experience some of the local activities like tea making.

The host is a lovely lady. She doesn't speak any english but helped us with dinner and grocery suggestions. She really makes an effort to make you comfortable. She also provided toast and jam, as well as coffee/tea for breakfast. Towels were also provided and the beds were comfortable. It was also nice having an angled ladder to the top bunks rather than the vertical ladders we have found in many other hostels/guesthouses.
