I loved my stay at Hotel Torni. I stayed with my family, as it was cheap and we were only there for one night. But it was great. Huge room and bathroom, bed was super comfy. I was able to connect my phone to the TV and use free wifi. And had a simple but filling breakfast delivered to the room in the morning. You can notice features of a love hotel, however this shouldn't deter you from booking as everything was clean, discreet and can still be a great stay for a regular group of family or friends.

Toyama is probably outside of the usual tourist trips in Japan. I have been there for a working meeting. Anyway it is a pleasant and quite city, large enough to offer some amusements and definitely not chaotic. I would recommend visiting the castle and the seafront (the latter probably best enjoyed in summer).

I took the 6:28 shinkansen from Tokyo, then directly went to Mt. Tateyama. Finally arrive on the Mountain at 12 and spend the entire day there, went down at 16:15. Arrive in Toyama city around 7. The next day went to the glass museum of Toyama, grab a coffee, then directly went to buddha statue in Takaoka & Amaharashi coast. Just enough two day trip.

I and my friend spent 3-day vacation here (end of July). We enjoyed so much fresh air and peace of the city (or it was because of the covid so there was not much of people visiting, idk) but it was ideal place for a getaway from crowded cities. We went to Tateyama and planned to visit Snow Wall (Murodo) so we bought the ticket for cable car to Murodo. It took about 2h for cable car and bus to get there, and as it climbed up to the mountain, it would be more foggy and cold so remember to prepare extra clothes, hats and shoes (it'd be better to have water-resistant ones and maybe you will also need a rain coat). Unfortunately, we could not observe any snow wall ecause it has already melted at this time and also the mountain bc it was too foggy. This was our first time so it was ok to challenge with a short trekking in raining and strong wind and get wet, but if you want to reach Tateyama top, it'd be better with extra-preparation of professional clothes.

Love Toyama city for the ample space, peacefulness and vicinity to great attractions. Halal food was a bit difficult for me, but since food was not my mainn priorit, Toyama was great! Will visit again in the future.
The Location a total plus! Get out from the station south exit, walk 100m ahead, make a slight right turn and cross the traffic light, you will see the hotel.
There is a nepresso coffee machine in the room.
It is at a quieter corner at the main street, digonally opposite a drug store.
A relatively big room for the rate I was paying considered japanese hotel's standard, value for money. will return if I am coming to Toyama again
The pick-up service from Toyama station was nice, 5 min to the house from the station. The staff will be holding your name on the paper. The house was big and cozy, floor heating was nice and warm. There was a supermarket nearby, u can cook for yourself in the big kitchen in the house. Bathtub was also super nice!! I'll definitely book again when I visit Toyama again next time. Parents were so satisfied with this Toyama trip.
I stayed here for one night because I have to get up very early to start my Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route journey. The hotel is just next to Dentetsu-Toyama Station and in the morning, I just walk down from the hotel straight to the starting point of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Journey.
There are a lot of F&B around this area so it is very convenient to shop and eat.
Very new and clean hotel. Room is very comfortable. Good faciilities including onsen and gym. Buffet breakfast has both western and japanese options. The front desk staff Ami Koizumi helped to recommend a restaurant for dinner and it was very good. The staff were all well trained and very welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay there.
The location is perfectly near the train station and so easy to find. The hotel is also located next to the shopping mall, grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants so it is super for us to stop by looking for something we may need during the day and night....Super wonderful place and location to be in Toyama.
it’s our second time staying in Daiwa hotel, and it’s as good as the last time. the room is small but not surprising in Japan, but the toilet and bathroom area is very spacious. it is great to have a good shower after a long day. also the location is great. just a few minutes walk from Toyama station
I loved the hotel itself - felt very fancy and beautiful, a nice surprise. The hotel is 5 min walking distance from Toyama station and right behind it is a bar and restaurant street with many options.
Hotel staffs are very helpful...they kept my valuable things which forget under the pillow...so appreciated...breakfast is simple but so tasty...the room is clean...location not far from jr station
Good location. The hotel is clean. Even though the hotel isn’t located in restaurant area but not too far from Toyama station which is surrounded by restaurants. Room is big enough for two guests.
Location is best just beside JR toyama station and Maroot shopping center.Newly built hotel just open 3-4 months, Spacious Room and modern.Buffet Breakfast is best and delicious(western+japanese)
Good location near Toyama Station. The room was nice, clean, modern and spacious, particularly for Japanese standards. Did not use any of the extra facilities/amenities at the hotel.
Another really good Dormy Inn. They have become my preferred hotel chain in Japan. The rooms are good, communal bath great, washing machines, usually close to public transport.
Hotel situated close to Toyama station, with restaurant available in the hall. The room is small, as it is usual with Japanese hotels, but it has all it needs for the stay.
a must stay Japanese style tatami hotel. the onsen are awesome, they provide late night ramen is a bonus. another great thing is their breakfast, plenty of selection.
Close proximity to JR station .hotel lobby at level 2 .
The Dentetsu station just below the hotel .
The JR station is big .
Very convenient to go the Alpine route.
It is close to the JR train station and city center - good starting place to explore Toyama. The breakfast was very good, both western and Japanese style.
The room is comfy, complete with humidifier. It also clean, and they give amenities on daily basis. Near the tram station and walkable to Toyama station
