The location was perfect for the purpose of our trip. The bed was really fantastic, and overall very good value for money. The breakfast was up to standard for the amount charged. We will use Lavender Garden Hotel again if we are in the area.

Staff were exceptional, so kind and caring, and every single one always had a smile on their face! Special shout out to Isaac!
The bungalows were spotless and spacious, beds so comfortable.
We were lucky to get visits from the elephants both days with one coming right up to the restaurant window!
The food was amazing too.
Truly an amazing experience from start to finish.

Game tours were my favorite activities at Tsavo.
We were booked on full board at Salt Lick Resort and I can confirm that the food was delicious.
It is very easy to go around Tsavo. I drove around myself, though I was given a guide for the game tours.

Very rewarding park, One of my favorites in Kenya, have visited a number of parks. Huge number of elephants, more than Amboseli, but don't miss Amboseli! Great scenery. Would suggest adding a day to you itinerary, so you don't regret it!

The bush/tree-covered huge surface of Tsavo would make wildlife more difficult to spot, but would add to the pleasure of the "hunt". Neverthelss, in a little less than two days, we saw enough of the famous elephants, buffalos, giraffes and other herbivorous beauties plus two leppards and a cheetah. But the geography of the place compensates for any other inconvenience. In my view, this is the most eye-pleasing park, with its incredible variety of rocks, trees, bushes, crystal-clear springs, lava fields and ridges, volcanic cones and pure savanah fields. The Mzima springs and the outlooks highly recommended.

Great location as you were right by a watering hole for the animals, so breakfast and evening meals were with close views of Elephants and Zebra etc., coming down for water.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. The selection of food for both breakfast and evening meal was varied and well prepared, and certainly didn't go hungry. Lunchtime they offer a packed lunch if you are intending to stay out all day and you can choose what you would like, or they also put on a nice buffet if staying at the camp.
There is a small pool, but we didn't use this as we were out all day.
The rooms were basic, but completely adequate for a safari trip and equipped with standing fan, mosquito nets and standard toiletries. The housekeeping staff came in every day to change the towels and make the beds.
All in all I would definitely recommend this accommodation for a short stay safari trip.
