The Tree House is one of two and located in a fabulous jungle/tea estate setting. Morning bird walks were excellent, as were hikes down to the river at the bottom of the property, ideal for river baths. Great view from the Tree House (make sure to keep windows shut when not in the room - there are monkeys in the estate), and even better, no mosquitoes at night, so you can keep the windows open to let in invigorating mountain air.

If you have a vehicle with a driver, probably more practical for him to stay at the nearby town of Ginigathena. My driver was reluctant to drive the ~2km to his accomodation on the estate because of road conditions, which meant he had to call (and pay for) a 3 wheeler tuktuk whenever I needed him.

It was my birthday that day and they made sure that it felt very special. The massage was on of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the fresh, delicious food was a treat. The hotel's location is truly unique, nestled remotely right next to a stunning waterfall and surrounded by lush green forest.
