Lucky and his wife run two homestays within 150m of each other about 8kms outside the busy service town of Maho, and important railway junction point. Luckys Homestay is the recently built of the two. Very comfortable, with fan (no a/c), and a full-length door in each room that opens on to forest setting. Full sized mosquito nets provide protection from insects, if needed. Lucky is an exceptional host, full of local knowledge and suggestions. Rooms rates include delicious home-cooked breakfast, and lunch and dinner are available by prior arrangement. Again, home cooked. Lucky can provide touring and transport services. This includes some great suggestions that do not appear in the usual travel guidebooks. Homestays are a great way to meet the ‘real Sri Lanka’, including local people.
