Lucky and his wife run two homestays within 150m of each other about 8kms outside the busy service town of Maho, and important railway junction point. Luckys Homestay is the recently built of the two. Very comfortable, with fan (no a/c), and a full-length door in each room that opens on to forest setting. This apartment was very luxurious and well equipped. We only stayed 1 night but had a very comfortable stay and we found a lovely walk to the lake behind the building with a good restaurant. There was a bakery below for a handy breakfast.

The property was in a beautiful rural location which was ideal for our first night stay in Sri Lanka. The host was welcoming and at our request provided a cooked meal for us - absolutely huge portions for both dinner and breakfast. The grounds were beautifully kept and had a lovely view.
