I recently had the pleasure of staying at OwinRich during my trip to Godakawela, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the sight of a beautiful outdoor pool, inviting me to unwind and relax. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally comfortable, providing the ideal retreat after a long day of exploration. But what truly stood out was the attention to detail and the incredible value for money. The price I paid was an absolute steal considering the quality of service and amenities offered. One of the highlights of my stay was witnessing the sheer joy on my kids' faces as they splashed around in the pool and explored the hotel grounds. The family-friendly atmosphere of OwinRich made our vacation truly memorable. Moreover, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. They even arranged a safari to Udawalawe National Park for us at the best price possible, allowing us to marvel at Sri Lanka's incredible wildlife. Overall, I can't recommend OwinRich highly enough. Wow! The Backyard Balangoda is something truly special. Nestled in the family’s beautiful tea plantation, it is a stunning retreat designed and created by talented young artist Sumit. From the architecture, through to the branding, and through the restaurant into the fabulous menu, everything has been carefully considered to give the visitor a completely unique Sri Lankan experience. The accommodation is in a rustic style, immaculately clean and-frame bungalow with the most stunning views over the valley - an absolutely magical experience to stay in and wake up to. While this is totally off the beaten tourist track, it’s so totally worth visiting - we were only sad we didn’t have time to stay a few more days. If it’s available, book it! Just make sure you book a few nights! Well done sumit! Keep doing what you are doing.

The place is cheaper and suits for a regular stopover. More like a lodge, with basic amenities. Staff is cordial and cooperative. Hot wateris good. The Manager assisted in getting acco for my driver. And got me dinner from outside.

Summer Ridge is a 12 minute walk away from a main street up on a green hill among tropical vegetation and fantastic birds. It,s nice and quiet. If you have a choice, take the room with the balcony.
