Exceptional value for money with a great service at a fraction of the price of many other lodges. Nicely designed and comfortable rooms and nice pool. Beautiful location amongst the rocks. The activity options were extensive and the guides great. We really loved our sundowner walk with Ronny, as well as the morning Ai Aiba walk with another guide whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten. It was great to do the walking activities which were a change of perspective from the game drives we’ve done in other places.

Omurenga is a hidden gem in a breathtaking location. The view from the rooms is simply amazing und the scenic drives and nature walks are a great experience. The best part of the stay, however, was Marli, who made us feel so welcome and prepared the most delicious meals in the evenings.

What a wonderful and unique lodge! The location is just breath-taking and the cabins/tents are luxurious and well spaced out from each other. And the staff is warm and professional and made sure that we for our anniversary also got a surprise from the lodge.
We stayed in room 6 (thanks to others for mentioning this in their review) which has a stunning view, even better than the rest of the rooms.
The common areas are well taken care of and have everything you need.
We did a sunset hike (not a hike actually, it took 10 mins to get up to the small peak from the lodge), where you have an unobstructed view of the plains below the mountains during sunset. Here we could also observe a family of 18 baboons playing a hundred meters from us.

Very nice tent with very good kitchen and bath. Lovely pool area and lava. Very good and friendly staff.
The lovely grounds. The room was a little disappointing ..
The lovely grounds. The room was a little disappointing .. Looking into road entrance and neighbours open messy garden. Room quite small. Evening meal and breakfast were sub standard.
They were very helpful and changed our booking dates, due to sickness that delayed us by a week.
Magical place, worthwhile driving the 1,5h on dirt roads coming from Omaruru. Surrounded by beautiful nature - passing through a reserve with black rhino, lion and leopard - seated on the mountain in absolute silence, except for the baboon calls. Excellent hopemade food for dinner and breakfast in a very romantic setting on the terrace overlooking the mountains. Beautiful lodge to stay in! Definitely a must see, must go, must stay place!
Was my third or fourth time staying at the Omaruru Guesthouse and it is always a pleasure. Probably the best bang for buck in most of Namibia. You get clean rooms with a big shower, AC and heater in the rooms, a pool, restaurant next door, friendly and helpful staff as well as an extended continental breakfast including the options for different kinds of fresh made eggs. Moreover, the staff is always available to serve a cool drink.
The lodge is in a great location easily accessible from Windhoek and Omaruru. The hosts were friendly and entertaining and the accommodation was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. watching birds and taking leisurely walks. The breakfasts were the best we’d had on our trip and the dinners we ate were good too.
Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. Although the restaurant was not open for dinner only 25 yards away was another hotel/restaurant that had a good choice of meal. The hotel had secure parking and it was very hard to hear traffic noise as it was not on a busy route.
The location was just beautiful and the design of the hotel is lovely. Highlight of the stay was the morning walk/drive with Dion. He was a hugely knowledgeable guide who was clearly passionate about his job. Kitchen tried to cater for vegan and vegetarian guest.
This must be one of the best hotels in Namibia. Fantastic garden with swimming pool. Large rooms with bath and shower. Great food and drinks menus. Very friendly staff and overall service just the best. Fantastic!!
Hotel was great, room modern and spotless, and everyone wonderfully helpful. The evening game drive was a real bonus - amazing views, lovely sunset plus a few animals also.
Best Hotel ever. A must-go
Wish we spent a week there and not only one night.
Delicious food, incredible view and a home-feeling with five star luxury standards.
