My husband and I loved our stay here. I found the room very comfortable albeit a little dated however it was very homely and warm….i liked that. A couple of little things prevented me from giving full marks. Further improvements are needed and you can see that a concerted effort is being made. The restaurant has a wonderful ambience and the service was excellent. The food could be improved. I believe there is a new chef so Im sure it will be sorted. It does take time to settle in. This is just my opinion however. We would go back in a heartbeat. We have travelled extensively and this is an area I can personally say gave me a feeling of calmness and relaxation. Parking was not a problem as there are two areas available.

- The staff could not have been more helpful. We arrived a little later in the day after an 11 hour drive and struggled to get a booking in any nearby restaurants; but Anouk at the front desk happily helped by making a phone call for us - we would highly recommend visiting De Hertog Jan Proeverij nearby.

The new rooms are nice and clean, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are spacious and well equipped.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Food all round was good, both evening meal and breakfast. The service from the reception lady on arrival was also good as she was kind enough to provide a small electric heater for our room. Car parking was also good as was the location in relation to the main routes.
