The guesthouse is only 3 minutes' walk from the station, though you do have to go around the corner to the entrance. Also about 10 minutes to the centre of town. Very convenient. I was impressed by the size of the room and the kitchen facilities would make it a good place for a longer stay (if you took the extra kitchen pack). There is a dishwasher! For the standard rate you can make tea or coffee in the room. Very clean bathroom, with toiletries included (but no tissues).

Nijmegen is great for a stroll through the historic town centre with its nice shops and lots of places where to eat and drink. There are also many coffee places where to have breakfast or brunch, or where to taste some sweet cakes or pastries.

Nijmegen has a very interesting history.
Nijmegen has a very interesting history. Once a Roman settlement, and WWII target, ruins and buildings can be viewed and entered. River de Waal is omnipresent; often overflowing and changing the landscape.
Within minutes one can be immersed in nature and fully escape from the city in the Ooijpolder. Café Oortjeshekke is a must see -with storks in their nest to be seen from the room out the back. Great food, great staff!
Shopping in Nijmegen is easy as many fun, unique shops and cafes are found in abundance in Nijmegen. Everything is within walking distance. Several grand parks too!
Great for children.
Stevens kerk (church) was closed for most of our stay so we didn’t get a glimpse -even though it was an Easter holiday.
The market on the large square (Grote Markt) was lovely and café de Waagh is another iconic must see.
Don’t wear high heels -there’s large cobble stones everywhere!
The town’s bells ring every night at 9 -the way it did for centuries- to warn the people that the town’s gates were closing for the day. One truly can imagine what life was like 1000 years or so ago..
Restaurant Stevens was another highlight -great food, great prices.
Highly recommend Nijmegen!!

I absolutely loved staying in Nijmegen.
I absolutely loved staying in Nijmegen. It's an awesome combination of viby city life and town-like quaintness. The locals were all really friendly and it is very accessible to travelers as everyone can speak good English and seem happy to help were needed. It's very historic with lots of cultural attractions (many free to visit!) and easy to get around with a bicycle or by foot.

Lovley place but now far too crowded with both the Marches and the concerts on at the same time when I last went there were 20,000 people ther enow about 1/2 a milliuon!!! Enjoyed the restaurants and the atmosphere when out on the road walking and just wanted to relax when got back and walking was the easiest except there was too many people! Hope to stay next time wioth a family and further out to not get too crowded but the atmosphere on last day fantastic except again crowded but that the way it is now!!!

Marienkerk is a cultural tourist centre and should be the first stop because it outlines all the major points of interest in Nijmegen and gives an historical overview.
St stevens kerk is free entry and has guided tours to the tower for a small fee. The tower tour is only during certain hours and certain days.
Lots of museums. As usual the Dutch have plenty of activities for children at museums and these are nicely planned and laid out to be interesting and informative. I enjoyed visiting de Bastei and a surprise was the rooftop cafe which had fabulous views of de Waal and The Rhine River.
Pannenkoeken boot where you can eat pancakes whilst taking a cruise (unfortunately was closed for holidays so I didn’t get to go on it).
C-Nimma offered a pop up outdoor cinema with classic films. Tickets were sold out so good to get in early.
A must do in my opinion is de Goffert park (hectares of it !!) and even better if you get to go to a concert in its open air amphitheatre. That was my highlight!
There is also an area where you can see all sorts of animals and includes deer if you want to see them.
It’s a student town around the outskirts so probably not ideal location to find accommodation as it’s quite densely populated. (Beyond the kringstraat at the big roundabout.)
Lovely Restuarant’s probably same prices as anywhere else in NL. Wait staff were plentiful (unlike other areas which struggle to find staff).
For coffee snobs there are a small number of specialist barista coffee establishments. Well worth looking up. I can recommend Puck.
You could spend more time here if you want to see all the museums and do plenty of walking trails.
I arrived by train and walked everywhere which was very doable. Do take good walking shoes as can be expected the streets are cobble stone.

Nice hotel
New, modern, clean and simple lines
Friendly professional staff
Front desk reception very good staff
Restaurant, bar and desk work area nice
Sauna was very good standard
I liked the free of charge coffee station in reception
Great location to station and walking to town and the university
Nice bedrooms, simple but functional
I'd stay there again
The gym is not a gym, it is a small room with stepper and cycle machine. They could do better on this
Central location 2 min walk from train station and walking distance to the old part of Nijmegen. Very good sized room with kitchen & dining facilities. Design is industrial with some quirky details. For breakfast you either buy the breakfast buffet or different kind of toasties or do your own in the room which requires you rent utensils for a fee. Both the buffet and the toastie selection is fine. wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
The location is great.. short walk away from central station and city centre. You can also rent a bike from the hotel, which is highly recommended for a city the size of Nijmegen. The room was very clean and you get a small kitchen in the room, which is perfect for longer stays. The staff were very helpful with every single thing and always met me with a smile. I would go back just because of them.
Located in a historic building (XVc) inthe city centre, just 7-9 minutes walking from the train station. Interior combines historic elements (the original wall in the hall, portraits, some pieces of furniture) with modern comfort. Hotel has very good sound isolation, i was travelling for work that started very early, so it was important for me. It is possible to check-in online.
We loved the cozy top floor apartment. Lots of space, quiet location in the city center. You can always find a parking space near the door, but it is expensive - 3.10/h. Alternative - there is big parking around 400m to river side which costs 2,40/h or 7,50/day. I think, this one is the best in Nijmegen central part.
The main plus is the atmosphere: it is great, quite relaxed. The room is fun: it included a football table. The staff is very friendly. Food is good too. And the location is also good: 19 minutes walk from the train station, a bus stop in front of the hotel and close to the city center.
Central location overlooking the train station and 5 minutes walk into the centre of town. The rooms was comfortable. There is a small fitness room with a cross trainer and bike as well as a sauna. In hours, hotel guests have access to the gym next door at ROC Nijmegen
Hotel is in the city centre.. in of the nicest (shopping) streets of Nijmegen.
We had room 1 ,a bit in the back of the building, which was good, nice and quiet, slept fine..
Room and bathroom were very clean. All good
The hotel was decorated beautifully inside and out which was so lovely since we were away from home in December. We easily walked to a restaurant for a nice dinner. Such a nice town and a great stay at this hotel.
very nice, well located aparthotel in Nijmegen, well equipped (including dish washer in the kitchen), clean, good wifi, comfortable bed; free transfer from the train station on our late arrival was just perfect!
Top notch location on the main walking street in Nijmegen. Close to city centre and the river. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Small but nice hotel.
