Such a nice place to stay! Very friendly atmosphere, perfect cleanliness everywhere, comfy common spaces, beautiful garden, small but cozy rooms. It was our first experience of staying in accommodation with shared bathroom and kitchen, I was a bit worried if it would be convenient, but my worries were absolutely groundless. To be honest, I would rate this place higher than some 4 star hotels during our trip.

Great area for a weekend or just to break a long drive over the mountains. Will definitely go back. Lovely thoughtful details, chairs and a rug by the waterside, a rowing boat to borrow, a sauna for after your swim in the glacialmelt water.
Interesting hamlet with lots of buildings being restored.
The view is stunning and location right on the water is perfection. We visited in very early April which were winter conditions for us and gave us opportunity to enjoy the sauna followed by jumping in the lake for cold dip! The town of Styrn is an easy drive to that has everything you need, grocery store and restaurants. We only stayed one night while we were traveling on through Norway but would love to return to enjoy longer. We had the 3 bedroom and it was exceptionally clean with modern decor. Amazing views from every room in the house.
Our stay at Hjelle Hotel was one of our very favorites during our two week road trip in Norway. Mr. Hjelle, the owner of this beautiful property was so friendly and welcoming. He treated us to a very special room and knew so much about the history of the hotel. The views from the restaurant are spectacular, and the dinner (as well as the breakfast) was outstanding. We enjoyed a beautiful walk along the lake to a very scenic waterfall. We were so sorry we had to leave after just one night and would love to come back to this wonderful place.
It was an amazing stay at Nygård camping, nice, modern and clean cottages, super friendly owners, good pizza and cake :D GREAT view and location. Decided to stay an extra night because we liked the camping so much. Really much value for the money. I would recommend everyone that visits Hjelle to stay at the Nygård camping! :) We were skiing at the Stryn summer ski and it was perfect distance. The camping has a nice restaurant/pub for some after ski beer and pizza :)
We stayed in the "Strandkanten" ("Superior") chalet, which is one of 4 or 5 apartments, and probably the nicest of them all. The chalet itself, and particular the location at the lake across huge glacier-topped mountains, are simply the nicest you can wish for when staying on Norway. The apartment is large, very clean, with a complete and new interior. Close by are hiking trails to the Glomnes fossen, and as said the location at the lake is magnificent.
The cabin is lovely with good facilities. Nice surroundings close to the water. There were no nearby restaurants open during this time of year (10th September), so we went to the supermarket to buy some groceries to cook dinner.
The kitchen is very complete to cook a decent meal, everything is there incl. salt, pepper and oil. Lovely modern and squeaky clean bathroom. Comfy bed and a large sofa to relax and watch TV. Good value for the money.
Hytte is really spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
Hjelle is scenic little village on the lake, we liked that it wasn't crowded with lots of tourists like Geiranger. We hiked to Segestad Mountine Farm, which was great and we were the only persons on the trail. View from there was fantastic and you can visit the farm buildinga and find out how people lived there.
It's not a bad place. It was fine for that money as for Norway prices. We slept 1 night in a clean, small 'house' with fine beds. There is common bathroom with hot water available for couple of minutes. It's enough though. Location is pretty nice. There're fjords all around and small city with shops few kilometers away. And the girl at reception was nice (from Poland) was nice to talk to
Oh after previous night stay in terrible hotel it was like a heaven:)
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Quite and distance place.
Cabin that we rented was really nice - modern kitchen, nice furniture, good beds.
They have there small canteen that works till 10p.m. Really nice!
They bake fresh bread in the morning - perfect.
The first thing is the location where this stay is located is beautiful.
Value for the money.
Since it's a camping site you can't expect more as we expect from a hotel.
The joker store and a gas Station which are right opposite to the camp.
If you don't find places to stay at geiranger then this is the one to consider.
The property is perfect for one or two nights, close to a small supermarket and a perfect spot to start exploring Hjelle and surroundings or go hiking. The house itself was well contained and offered enough space for the four of us.
Great people own the hotel. Every single request we had was paid a full attention to… great location for a nature lover…. Great room in our case and excellent food…. Check out a lovely historic heritage museum on the premises…
Beautiful house in a perfect location. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Near multiple hiking opportunities and local attractions. We had a great time and highly recommend Nyhagen feriehus for a family holiday in the Stryn area!
such a beautiful property! and our room was pretty and decorated in a vintage style. the view was exquisite. The dinner and breakfast were very well-prepared. the hotel is a charming place, restful and calm.
Able to cook in cabin, laundry available. Amazing location very peaceful and great surrounds. Restaurant on premises sells good pizza and hamburgers as well as some drinks and pastries.
Superb location and exquisite historical hotel with plenty of activities which we used well : nice walk along the fjord, boating, biljard. Ping pong, reading, eating,...
This hotel has a great location, delightful breakfast offerings, and comfortable rooms.
I'm looking forward to returning and staying at this hotel again.
Fabulous view , good location between stryn area attractions. Free or distraction . Excellent choice for mediation.
