Amazing place to spend a night before our flight home the following day. The room was simply amazing with a private balcony and hot tub. The room and entire building were modern, fresh and exceptionally clean. The staff were superstars - working super hard to prepare food and drinks while also dealing with queries from other guests, often alone. Fantastic. Obregado!

Faro is the picturesque capital of the Algarve region, offering colourful streets and buildings, Moorish influence, and typical Portuguese charm. It is encompassed by the lagoon of Ria Formosa Natural Park, and offers wide beaches, a laid-back atmosphere, and a vibrant nightlife.
Occupied by Phoenicians and Carthaginians, and once an important Roman harbour and Moorish culture capital, it was almost flattened by the 1755 earthquake. Happily, the historic centre survived and is today one of best preserved in Algarve. Choosing a hotel in Faro’s Old Town will allow you to have a more authentic Portuguese experience.
The long, sandy beach of Praia de Faro is 7 km from the city, and the beach on Barreta Island –also known as Deserta - is probably the most tranquil in the region. Hotels near the beach in Faro and the surrounding towns of Olhão, Tavira, Quinta do Lago, Quarteira and Vilamoura, are all excellent ways to enjoy sunny Portugal.
Faro International Airport offers connections throughout Europe, and the city also offers ferry, railway, and bus links. Whether you need a beach resort or a hotel near Faro Airport, check out the wide offer available on Booking.com!

We chose Faro as it has a short flight time a short transfer from the airport and good weather (we wanted a 3 night break) We weren't sure what to expect as Faro isn't really known as a holiday destination! It is awesome! Beaches, trips, architecture, restaurants, the Old Town, bars, great sunsets and storks! Oh and the rosè is lovely!
The bus from the airport #16) takes 20 mins, drops you at the terminal about a 10 mins walk from marina area (dragging cases). We liked
'O Coreta' on the marina, ate there 2 nights and had drinks there as well. Nice vibe, live music, fantastic paella!

Faro seems to be going through a transformation.
Faro seems to be going through a transformation. There were surprisingly alot of houses and some location close to the water which seem to be neglected and not well maintained.
If you are looking for a nightlife atmosphere then Faro is not really the place to stay.
I think Faro is a good place for arriving (Airport is not too big and getting in and out of the airport is easy) and maybe spending a day there before flying out agina.

A working, everyday town with some interesting buildings, modest tourist offering, friendly people and good transport facilities. Felt safe at night on every visit (even the ever-present drug sellers were polite!) Worth a nose if you're passing through.

Beautiful sleepy little historical fishing town.
Beautiful sleepy little historical fishing town. Excellent for a quiet few days in the warm sun, wandering around its quaint narrow streets, enjoying shops, cafes and restaurants. Great beaches all nearby. Also less than half an hours' bus ride to the largest shopping centre/outlet village in the south of Portugal (Mar Shopping Centre), so there's something for everyone.

It's a lived-in, working city and doesn't pretend to put tourists at the forefront. However, tourists are well-catered for and I've spent a few happy days wandering the town on several occasions. Just wear sturdy shoes and have a little torch handy as the pavements/kerbs are no fun!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a great location and the hotel is charming and old-fashioned but in a very nice way. The breakfast is good value at €8 with everything you could want from fresh fruit, ceral, breads hot eggs and baco, cold cuts and cheese, etc. The showers are hot and everything is very clean. The airport is only 5 minutes away but you don't see or hear the airplanes on Faro Island. Its a great place to go to when you first arrive and to have a few dayas on a great beach. Parking is free too.
Very up-to-date hotel;; smart, and modern. Room was clean and quiet, even though in a busy area.of town Front desk (Hugo) were polite and friendly. The rooftop restaurant was exceptional, wait staff Joana a lovely person.. we enjoyed the view over the harbour .. underground parking is helpful, in a busy area of the city.
We only stayed one night before catching our flight home at Faro airport. We left too early for breakfast, but were given a boxed breakfast to take with us; juice, sandwiches and an apple.
We stayed for two days and enjoyed our stay before moving to a villa for a week. The day of our return to the UK we found left luggage at the airport not working. Since we had a late flight we returned to the hotel and asked if they would keep our luggage for the day. They agreed for which we are extremely grateful!! We had a relaxing day in Faro and were able to eat and drink at the quayside bar making for a relaxed final day . Thank you to your staff
We like the variety of breakfast and the size of the room is spacious. We like the King suite with a hot tub in the balcony overlooking Ria Formosa. There was also a welcome drink to choose from. We had a glass of wine and rose. The receptionist/ barmaid/ waitress/ chef was very friendly. The location is quiet and only 5 mins drive to Faro airport which is handy on our last day in Portugal. The whole place was very clean and modern in decor.
It was really a great hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, something for everyone, everything made fresh, plenty of variety, in short great! Really recommend it!!!
The other facilities such as the infinity pool, indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath and the gym were also more than fine, nicely finished and very clean. From the roof terrace you had a beautiful view of Faro and its surroundings.
Very easy self-check in at the house located in a quiet neighborhood. Spacious and well-equipped rooms with a clean, shared bathroom. Conveniently located next to the airport (15-20 min walk), the nicely decorated house has a homey vibe and offers everything you need for a last or first night in Portugal. Highly recommended for anyone who passes through Faro. Great restaurants in close proximity, too.
Location, and the staff especially.
Plus the food /breakfast was lovely ----lots of choice..
However, the tea /coffee machines were at a minimum. Could do with installing a few more machines cos it's frustrating to have to queqe so long--whilst your breakfast is getting cold.
However, I would not hesitate to return to this fabulous hotel again, if I was returning to Portugal.
Loved the marsh land estuaries, the walks, farm animals and distance from town. I felt I could be in two kinds of Portugal on one trip. The smells and the vast sky scenery were a beautiful rural experience. I would recomend a car but being solo and fit I enjoyed the walk to the main road, getting the bus into Faro or getting a Bolt service. It was simply lovely and peaceful.
The receptionist that I met was just wonderful! Inês was just so invested in making my trip to Faro as enjoyable as possible! She was so super helpful and as my first point of contact in Portugal, she really set the tone. Staff like Inês are hard to find, she's one in a million! Thank you for setting the tone for a beautiful 3 weeks in Portugal! 🙏❤️🥰
Very close walking distance to Faro Rodoviario bus and train station. In the city center, close to everything. Small but comfortable for two people.Very clean modern, fresh nice sheets, new hotel. They do a good job to be environmentally aware and support conserve energy and water trend. Room had everything we needed.
Great beach-side hotel located on Faro beach, about 5 minutes from the airport. AC was cold and the hotel is right on the beach with beach towels and umbrella provided upon request. Roof-top offers great views of Faro beach and about a 10 minute walk from the ferry into Faro. Breakfast was quite nice.
The "boutique" hotel is very well situated in the centre of Faro, in the vicinity of historical sites. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast, for additional fee is average. There is popular restaurant on the premises which we did not experience.
Exceptional stay in the old city center of Faro. I was very plesantly surprised with the overall quality and attention to details. Beautifull and stylish rooms and awesome roof top bar and restaurant. I would highly recommend it, true 5 stars hotel.
The room was spacious and comfortable. loved the breakfast box delivered to my room. The breakfast was good and plenty. The hotel is also just 5 min walk away from the station making it convenient for me for my day trips outside Faro.
The hotel was close to the center and it was easy to get to most of Faro's delights. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. There are shared patios for guests to enjoy, which was a nice touch.
We were able to walk to Faro airport from the hotel. Since we left before breakfast started in the morning they packed us a box we took with us. That was nice of them to provide this.
the staff were all friendly and accommodating. the room was on the beach with a beautiful view. we found this place from a YouTube video on Faro travel
