Considering we stayed one month, it wasnt long enough. if you love unrestricted access to mountains, waterfalls, the fauna in northern Portugal. the genuine friendliness of the people, and the food, Gee Wizz , come and enjoy what they have on offer, an example of the local people, we were climbing a steep road at the foot of a mountain near Ermal, and passed by a man cutting brush, once he realised what we were attempting, he gave us armfulls of fruit from his house, Kiwis, Apples, and Oranges, Just smashing, what a lovely guy.

There's not much to do in the city, however there's everything you need, since restaurants to supermarkets. It is a great choice for travelers going to Gerês since is very near and accessible. The hostels are clean, calm and cheap, something you might not get in Braga, Guimarães and Vila do Gerês

A fabulous hotel in a fantastic location, with super-friendly, lovely owners. The rooms are extremely clean, the air-conditioning worked brilliantly and the wi-fi was an excellent speed. The photos don’t do the views justice, they are stunning. There’s also the bonus of the swimming pool. We loved coming in on an evening and having a drink from the bar whilst admiring the view. The rooms rates are amazing and I would book again in a heart beat. Thank you to everyone there for a great stay!
The house carries a history of 300 years and is very well looked after with respect and care. It is surrounded by a big garden with green and blossomed flowers, especially ortansias. It's room and the utility rooms are spacious. The propery was nice and quite. It also has a nice swimming pool with sunbeds and a few tables with chairs for those who would like to sit next to the pool. Their breakfast had homemade goodies. Not much but decent.
This place is amazing. very friendly staff (we dont speak portugese and they didnt speak english but were extremely friendly) excellent price for a great room and view from our balcony. Great free breakfast and lots of parking. You have a view of the lake and the vineyard on the property. has a nice pool but was too cold for swimming. there is a great grocery store only about a 10 min drive from the hotel. would highly recommend.
You have million dollar views. Amazing staff. Isabella walked me around her garden and showed me her mint plants and tea leaves. Her flowers and orchard. Yes they dont speak english but just use Google translate. It's so easy that way. It was cold to enter the pool but guests were sunbathing around it. Dinner we did 1 night and very nice to do it when the hotel is full otherwise it's just you. Always helpful.
Exceptionnal! Fantastic house, extremely quiet, very lovely hosts (both speak fluently French btw). Freshly renovated in a very high standard. The hosts newly planted a kiwi field a few meters lower than the house, and we were honored to be the first guests to try! If you want to stay in this part of the Portugal, this is the place.
The location was beautiful and the setting was picturesque. We were on the side of a mountain with a beautiful view of the valley and we were able to walk to town for coffee or a light dinner. There was ample space and the setting was very serene and safe. The wifi worked fine.
Wonderful accommodation! We were blown away by astonishing view, nature, warm meeting by our hosts. The rooms are beautiful, delicate and cozy. You are surrounded by historical buildings and calm rural life. Breakfast is tasty and nourishing.
This is very boutique and special place to stay in at reasonable price. My wife said it was like in the castle )) Edurdo is a wonderfull host. The breakast was nice and the views to the country side from the the hotel are magnificent.
We absolutely loved it. Very spacious, comfortable and very well maintained. A great place to stay with your pet, with ample space outside for our large dog to roam freely within a secure perimeter fence. A beautiful location.
Stunning views, comfortable mattress, cleanliness, good breakfast. The shower is great. It’s not a luxurious hotel, but the room was very clean, nice, and seems new. The restaurant was good and not expensive.
Beautiful enormous property.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
The area and views are breathtaking, all you want to end days of roadtrippin in the endless nature of Portugal. Thanks to the playful puppy aswell.
