The rooms were clean, comfy, and big enough.
The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were not great. However, we could get an additional pillow from reception.
The location is ideal: it is right next to the square, and it's easy to get to the castle.
Parking is sorted via a parking garage, and you pay half price as a hotel guest.
The massages and wellness were good, too.

Room had a lot of space, jacuzzi in the room was a little surprise (we missed it at photos), staff was friendly, spa and gym were great. Breakfast was worth it and we tried as well the dinner all-you-can-eat buffet and it was really good.

The hotel is very well located, we could park our car in their parking lot which is a huge advantage as in that area the cars are not allowed (only if you live there). The room was spacious and we had a view to the castle. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The staff were really friendly.
Grand Hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town of Trenčin and features a fine restaurant and wellness facilities including a sauna and a hot tub.

Everything was as described and expected. Breakfast was good. The room was clean. The owner and his personal was very friendly and helpful. He organised a parking spot for my motorbike. Yes I must pay for it, but the bike stood locked and safe. Great! The location of the hotel is great, If you're interested to visit the castle. You should give it a try. For a late cocktail try the Atrio Café, Mierové námestie 6/6, 911 01 Trenčín, Slovakia.

It is a beautiful little town with the castle above it.
It is a beautiful little town with the castle above it. It can be a great Christmas destination, however, it is important to have in mind that the Xmas market ends on Dec 23rd. We were there on a Friday evening and it was very alive with lots of young people. There was not many restaurants, but a few little coffee shops. Very small, but cosy and cute.

The castle is stunning and beautifully restored, spectacular views. The small old town is very atmospheric and the main square has a range of caffees, and cheap fast food option. It is conveniently located with few thermo spas around. Recomended.

Trencin Castle was really beautiful, especially when you had to walk pass by beautiful churches and then walk on natural path in the woods. The view was stunning. I was so relaxed there. The old town was lovely. The only down side was that I couldn’t find Slovak food in the old town.

I was Trencin to visit a friend.
I was Trencin to visit a friend. I did a day trip to a Spa town in the Czech Republic around 50 min drive from Trencin. In Trencin I visited the castle. I ate some nice food in the Rotunta directly at the station. I visited two pubs, one at the market place another one 500 m away, but I can not remember the names. They had a good choice of craft beer.

Medieval center of power in the region . Nice atmosphere, great views form the castle, even traces of Roman legion's victory of 179 AD.
If your are passing by - it's worth to stay over night.

Preview of the city center and castle ( both night and day ) , visiting the Brezina city woods, in spring and summer the oxygen trail there can be tested. A city is a good starting point for several hikes ( for example to Kykula peak at Czech borders , to Trencianske Teplice spa or a longer hike to Povazsky Inovec, nearby short hike can be taken to Kubrica lakes to have a fresh fish in summer and to take a supply of a strong mineral water ). As a relax after hike, the OC mall offers besides shopping also cinema. Possibility to go on several bike trails especially with mountain bikes. For a group of friend the Laser Game can be interesting as well. Don't miss out the city brewery Lanius with the accompanied restaurant with excellent food and Caffe Paris is the palce to go for coffee and he selection of cakes :)
It was one of the best stays we had in our 2 week journey. A large apartment with modern look and everything needed for a one-night stay we had, but I guess a longer one would also be nice. Especially that Trencin is a really nice city one could spend an entire day in. The apartment is outside the city center, but a walk through the old railway bridge is not a long one and the Vah river is beautiful. The host was very kind to us. Recommend!
The entire concept of the hotel is very nice. Our room was well furnished and renovated without ruining its original character. Everything was clean and functional, and the receptionist was exceptionally thoughtful when we arrived.
I though it was on the high side price wise for a Saturday night (We paid 70€/double room without breakfast), but still quite acceptable for what we got.
Pleasant location very close to the old center, near green public park with children playground and view of the back of the castle. Only a short walk to the castle and center, where shops, bars and restaurants are available. Parking is possible next to the hotel, free of charge.
The hotel is located in the downtown of Trencin with a parking spot available. The staff was really kind and helpful. The room was very big, clean and warm. The breakfast was very good in quantity and quality. Highly recommended a stay if you are planning to visit Trencin.
The staff were very helpful and friendly
The rooms were comfy
Loved all the little touches around the hotel, like games downstairs, the outside garden and the locked gates.
Also breakfasts! 😋
Really enjoyed the aircon on a hot Summer’s day
A lovely, quiet place
Nice quiet location in the forest, yet not too far from the city center. Enjoyed early morning run on nearby trails. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room (I had one with a terrace), good value overall. Will definitely book again next time I’m in Trencin.
Good location, very clean, lots of storage for clothes and any electrical outlets to recharge and use electrical devices. Overall a sense of a well built and thought of hotel. I almost forgot, the AC was nice as it was a hot September.
Nice family-sized apartment in the Trencin area. Easy access to everything in town and to the highway system. Restaurants and food shopping nearby. Good internet service. Also wonderful attention by the host.
Clean. Spacious rooms (business double room). It’s city centre, close to all. Don’t count on a good breakfast.. otherwise ok from value-quality perspective. Average hotel.
Very sweet and friendly staff. Super spacious rooms and showers. Nice spa with different saunas. Work station with big monitors. Free parking at the hotel.
walking distance to the Castle, that was a main reason we came to Trencin, building was old but really clean! Nice, hospitable stuff, nothing to regret.
