Great location on a remote beach and very friendly and helpful staff. Hornbills and other birds all over the place. Hundreds of tiny crabs.
If you want even more seclusion you can walk or swim to the little wild beach on the right (on map).
There are sit-on-tops kayaks which you can use for free and paddle around island, to the main beach, to a couple of wild beaches or to small isles nearby. If you are tired of local restaurant or need to buy some basic stuff (very basic - there are no 7 Eleven and such on island) you can walk to the main beach through jungle. It's half an hour picturesque hike where you can meet giant lizards. Could be very slippery in rain season. Also main beach is pretty, with white sand. Or you can walk to the SW cape of the island from resort.
Set in tropical landscapes, Koh Hai Fantasy Resort & Spa offers peaceful rooms just steps from white sands bordering the Andaman Sea. It boasts an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi at the restaurant.
Set in Ko Ngai, Koh Ngai Seafood offers beachfront accommodation a few steps from Koh Ngai Beach and offers various facilities, such as a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

Hotel is directly at the drop off point for boats which is convenient for arriving and departing. Peaceful and quiet only a few other guests staying. We were able to use kayaks for free. The hotel is very isolated meaning we spent the whole time at the hotel and ate at the hotel also however for some this may be an issue. Food was good but slightly more expensive. This was expected due to being on an island.
Boasting sea views, Koh Ngai Sea Open Resort features accommodation with a private beach area and a terrace, around 300 metres from Koh Ngai Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony....

The best bed on the island only because a simple top deck. Also the location was perfect in the middle of the beach on this idyllic island.

Rinna Resort has by far the best location on the island. It is located on a mountain near the pier with a beautiful view.
In addition, the owners are the nicest people we met during our trip through Thailand.
The day we had to leave we had to get up early and the owner came to us in the evening to ask what we wanted for breakfast so that it was ready early in the morning.
I highly recommend this place!!
Beautiful Flower Resort in Pak Meng features accommodation with a garden and a terrace. This hotel features free WiFi and a bar. The property is 5 km from Pakmeng Pier and 1.2 km from Had Pak Meng.

This is a very quiet island where you come to relax, walk along the beach, and swim. There are no noisy bars, just long lazy days and relaxed nights under the stars.
The south end of the beach is the best sand, but you can walk from one end of the beach to the other in only 30 minutes. The sea is deliciously warm!
There is another beach called Paradise Beach, if you are bored of relaxing. It is over the hill and through the jubngle for about 20 minutes - but use lots of mosquito repellant!

Beautiful beach location which was still really quiet post COVID. Not many other options on the island for food/drinks but the hotel food was nice, although a bit limited for those in the party not so in to Thai food. Staff were lovely throughout our stay and the whole place had a great vibe that made for a perfect spot to spend a few quiet days off the beaten track. Beach a little rocky in the shallows and weather was a bit mixed during our visit but when the wind dropped the snorkelling along the drop off 50m from the beach was fantastic!

Amazing shallow beach with clear water.
Amazing shallow beach with clear water. A reef that is right off the island. Great views of nearby islands. Easy to rent a boat and visit other islands in the area. Calm waters make it easy to kayak and swim.
There are no roads, just the beach. There are only a few hotels and so it limits the number of people on the island. Makes for a relaxing time.

Beautiful beach, great snorkelling just off beach where shelf drops. Few guests lead to peace but not much atmosphere in the evening. Ferry stops but have to transfer into long tail to reach shore. Definitely a lovely 2/3 night stop

Ko N'gai is small and extremely quiet.
Ko N'gai is small and extremely quiet. Perfect to get away from everything. Jungle and sea is some of the best I have seen after 30 years visiting Thailand. Simply beautiful.
Thapwarin is the better of all the resorts, but the restaurant needs to be vastly improved.

Ideal for families and couples wanting a quiet beach...
Ideal for families and couples wanting a quiet beach holiday. It would not suit youngsters looking for nightlife. Good for snorkeling and diving . There were no roads or clear paths for a walk to explore the island. You could walk along the beach and eat in other resorts. Also, a few bars/restaurants.
Absolutely loved this place. Exceeded expectations. The island is paradise and the location is perfect, right on the white sand beach with turquoise sea. so relaxing, plenty of loungers, gorgeous pool, lovely restaurant with good food and very generous breakfast, and cute cabins. staff super friendly, amazing massage, kayaks, snorkelling from the hotel. Now on Koh Lanta and wishing we had stayed longer. really special place and great for families.
we loved the location (directly at/on the beach) and sleeping in the comfortable tent! (we normally never camp…) by opening an closing the tent you can regulate the ventilation. the food was excellent, one of the best at ko ngai and prizes low compared to the rest of the island. the bathroom situation was very basic. nearly no moskitos. nice snorkeling at 100 m from the beach. we (2 adults and a 4-year-old) can totally recommend Ko Ngai Camping!
We arrived by boat in high winds and had our first night booked elsewhere. Rachan (sp?) went to our hotel and got help with our bags without knowing that we had booked with his place. Bungalow was clean and in a good location. AC and instant water heater worked well. Sons of one of the proprietors run a bar and restaurant flanking the AC bungalows. The restaurant (Chom View) was fantastic and much better than the main Koh Ngai Seafood one.
We enjoyed our week here. The snorkellimg from the shore was good. The ocean water pool was fun for the kids. The kayaks were fun. And we really enjoyed the social atmosphere at breakfast and dinner in the restaurants. It is the oldest resort on the island, which shows a bit in the facilities, but everything met our needs. We had a great time and would stay there again.
lovely family run resort in paradise! Stayed at the resort 4 nights, beautiful location, great massage right in the beach, great food and very reasonable price. Had a chance to see other more luxurious and more expensive places at the island and I wouldn’t change for this nice place. Family running this small resort was extremely nice, than you so much!
Location has pros and cons. It’s good because you feel isolated and detached from the world. And not really good because you don’t have options on food. The resort, beach, room were really great. No complaints at all. Very quiet. Coral reef is gorgeous! Thanks for free snorkeling set and kayak.
Everything was perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the bungalows were exactly what we wanted. Beachside and romantic. We decided to stay a few more nights as we loved it so much. We will certainly come back to Ko Ngai and will stay here again.
The best hotel in koh ngai!!!!
This place is phenomenal, peaceful and the beach front is gorgeous. Breakfast is huge, lovely and delicious. The manager named "JJ" is super helpful and friendly. Me and my husband would love to comeback here again.
The hotel's staff are super friendly and helpful. The beach in front of the hotel itself is stoney but they explained it very clearly already in the hotel's page. So there was no surprise. The swimming pool is fantastic. Their service was super.
Location! Resort has all you need, food was good enough , very clean and comfortable beds. The building is very dated though but very clean. The water doesn’t go down as in other islands you can’t swim in the morning or evening
Resort with a wonderful atmosphere, very nice and helpful staff and the best food on the island, in the evening you can have a refreshing drink at the bar while listening to the waves and music. I recommend.
You can see an amazing view of the sea from the bungallow on one of the most wonderfull island in Thailand.
The staff is very helpful always ready to help.
The food in a restaurant is very good.
Great location in the resort. Staff were very friendly. Plenty of loungers. Excellent pool. Lovely relaxing ambiance. Great restaurant. Ability to charge to the room is a benefit.
