The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination.

The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination. Lots of shops with 10000 tee shirts, but some nice and expensive ones as well. Lobster rolls are the big thing, but pricey.'The best restaurants are not the town center, they are outside.

The time spent was on the opening shoulder season. The price was awesome and the staff as well. If you want a 100% of all the facilities just wait a few weeks and you will have some great extras. Perfect distance from Bar Habor as you are in your own small hamlet

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads. Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe. We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

Spacious, clean room right in downtown Bar Harbor, near shops, restaurants, and an easy walk to the wharf. Check in was fast and straightforward and I felt very comfortable with their level of Covid precautions. I appreciated their customer service checking on our stay during our time there. Acadia National Park is a short, simple drive from the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large and with plenty of storage space. The included continental breakfast is adequate.

The hotel was located a good distance from Bar Harbor but not too far. Meaning it was quiet and out of the way but still close enough to enjoy everything around. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, kind and nice. The room is large with plenty of space and very very clean. I left a Nikon lens in my room and they were kind enough to mail it back to me. I wish I had more time there. I was traveling alone and felt very comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend the place.

Fantastic location- very short walk into downtown Bar Harbor, very short drive to Acadia National Park. The best part about it was the people- Christopher, Constance and Penny were so warm, welcoming and helpful! I felt like I was staying with friends! The light breakfast options in the lobby, fresh baked cookies every afternoon, coffee all day and water bottle filler were all unexpected and so nice! The room was large and easily accommodated our party of 4.

This is our 2nd year visiting Acadia National Park and staying in best Western Acadia Inn..we love the place! Very accessible to the park and downtown. The Inn is well maintained, staff are courteous and the breakfast is good..nothing extraordinary but decent and served hot.I love that the protocols for Covid prevention are being followed. Plus is the pool which my kids loved! For sure we will be back as we love Bar Harbor and will be staying at this Inn again.

Bar Harbor Manor had the most comfortable beds and pillows! I had no trouble falling and staying asleep. We arrived late, so I called and Penny left us a key and allowed us to officially do our check-in the following morning. They had cookies all day for the guests and local muffins for breakfast. Everything was awesome! The location was in the heart of town within walking distance to anything you would need. I highly recommend staying at Bar Harbor Manor!

Converted old house. Room a good size. 2 upper levels require stairs. Very clean and comfortable. Small bathroom (#104) with basin in 'bedroom'. Excellent location on edge of town - a 200m walk. You dont want to be closer to 'the chaos'. That makes it quiet! Ample parking behind building. Staff very helpful. Best to make reservations for dinner anywhere to avoid a long wait!

The location was excellent and walking distance to a couple of hikes and anything you could want in downtown Bar Harbor. The continental breakfast had several options, including gluten free. The staff was very attentive, accommodating, and knowledgable in giving us several good recommendations for restaurants as it was our first time there.

The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Everyone, from the moment we registered to the bus boy cleaning our table after breakfast, was warm, friendly and eager to help anyway they could. The room decor was a little dated, but that only added to the charm of the hotel. Great location to all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor.

location was good. easy to get to acadia, close by. Bar harbor is not far away. parking there is hard to find and expensive. from this hotel you need a car to go to restaurants etc. No bus service. so better to stay in bar harbor and have free parking in the city. Beds in the hotel are good, but little high.

Acadia Inn is a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay. Although it is a little bit of a walk from the main centre of Bar Harbor, it is conveniently located across the road from the Bistro, where we had some of our favourite meals. I thought the hotel offered excellent value for money.
