The location was great, close to restaurants and Walmart...
The location was great, close to restaurants and Walmart across the street. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cold though, we were either hot or cold. I definitely would avoid this hotel, the amenities listed on the site were not accurate. The staff knew the pool was out and failed to inform guests upon checking in.

Great town for shopping and eating.
Great town for shopping and eating. Located close to other attractions. There is a must see old ice cream parlor called the Olympia and a family owned quality shoe store with a large selection of shoes, socks, some clothing and costume type jewelry.

We were very lucky with near 70 degree weather in November. The covered carriage ride was great and we got a small glimpse into the Amish community which was very interesting. We have stayed at many hotels during our travels over the years and staying at The Garden Gate is hands down the best experience ever.TracyUnited States

Part of the amenity of a hotel room is coming in after a long day of work away from home to a made bed and neat room. This hotel doesn’t even offer the option so no clean towels or refill of k cups. Phones were not set to the correct time so wake up call was an hour off and clock radio did not work. Very few outlets, only on by the bed one by the desk and one in the bathroom.KathleenUnited States

Coffee maker had no holder to make coffee. If I had anything beyond decafe. Front host coffee maker broken. Gym had dirty clothes in it for 2 days. and more. I asked to use a different t card for my stay vs the one I used to reserve, the clerk couldn't reverse the transaction. We were pestered on the morning of checkout about when we would be leaving and it was before 11 am. We were charged over $400 for 2 nights in a dated and overall unkempt hotel. We will never return!
