An amazing apartment with lots of space and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We only stayed one night, but could have happily stayed much longer.

All the restaurants were closed (between seasons); we had to go to the next town to eat - not a big deal.
Mono Lake and the surrounds are incredibly unusual beautiful and very different. This was my second trip but I would like to return again.

Lee Vining is a small "gas station stop" kind of mountain town that is not necessarily a destination. It is the best entry point to Yosemite Valley, and the perfect base camp for your adventure.

Very small town in a very beautiful natural area.
Very small town in a very beautiful natural area. Stones throw from Mono Lake. The food and lodging choices are limited. As a vegan I had zero options for restaurants. But that isn't too unusual in a small town. The setting - on the lake and at the foot of the Eastern Sierra, near the road to Tioga pass is what makes this place special.

If you’re visiting Yosemite, Lee Vining is perfect.
If you’re visiting Yosemite, Lee Vining is perfect. We travelled from Vegas & stayed here the night before heading into Yosemite. Such a cute little town, full of lovely, friendly people. Mono Lake is beautiful & I've never breathed such fresh, crisp air. Beautiful little town & an authentic piece of real America. Would really recommend

I came for Lake Mono and it was magnificent.
I came for Lake Mono and it was magnificent. Bodie Ghost Town is definitely worth an extended visit. The surrounding area is a hiker/backpackers dream. Stop by the Epic Grill for a meal on the terrace
Just a great little cabin in a great little town. Loved that the location was right by Mono lake as every location around the lake is amazing and not to mention the cabin was 12 miles to the east entrance to Yosemite. Made our trip way more exciting than everything was so close and easy to get to. Another best thing was Mono market which is right next door to the hotel
Lovely lodge, friendly helpful staff, good food in the Basin Cafe and hotel/lodge residents get 10% discount. Staff helpful. Convenient parking and good little shop just outside and a few good restaurants.
Room was clean and comfortable. Great cafe on the property with outdoor seating. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Easy access to town and surrounding areas for hiking/Yosemite/Mono Lake.
Loved the 3 Queen beds room option--very unusual and would only work in a old hotel that's been "remodeled," but perfect when traveling w/a few kids. Room was nothing fancy but functional.
The room was clean and quite large. We had a nice view on the Mono Lake and the surrounding hills. The location of the hotel is really convenient, and the building looks cute and cozy.
Perfect location, nice view of Mono Lake. A/C unit made for good “white noise”. Friendly staff. Self service housekeeping was fine—you just ask for more towels etc. when needed.
A good stopover after a day in Yosemite. Basic motel accommodation but clean and comfortable. Ate well at Niceleys in the evening.
Make sure to visit Mono Lake and the tufas.
The location was perfect to be able to get to the Yosemite National Park. The room we had overlooked the expanse and Mono lake which was nice. Free Wi-Fi and parking was great.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It had all the ameneities we needed for a good night's rest. The motel was easy to find and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The location was convenient to town, Mono Lake, and Yosemite (though Tioga Pass was unfortunately still closed).
