I’ve been Staying in Mackinaw City for the last 21 years I’ve Been impressed with it since the 1st stay in 2002 I’ve even stayed There The Last week of November and I walked the Bridge in 2022I KNOW it’s NOT the Chamber of Commerce’s Fault BUT the Prices of EVER-THING Has Gone EXTREMELY HIGH for Elderly Visitors The Best Prices I found was when I stayed in November 🤷♂️🤷♂️ But then there’s Not much to do in the winter months

Beautiful city! There is so much to do if you have the time.
Beautiful city! There is so much to do if you have the time. Walking around in the fall weather was enjoyable. Mackinac Brewhouse wine tasting was enjoyable because Stephanie was so nice. The lighthouse and walking path are a must see. The city is very clean. I could have stayed longer than my 4 days and found plenty to do or just relax and enjoy.

Awesome visit this year, during our 2022 visit most of the seasonal staff all over the city were rude and had bad attitudes , this year was opposite where staff members all over the city were outstanding , I already miss Nonnas pizza and my new favorite ice cream place The Sweet Spot on the main drag , the burgers we had at the White Buffalo were delicious, I had the bison burger and my wife had beef burger
,both were delicious but the bison one is better

I highly recommend the Labor Day Bridge Walk and Headlands International Dark Sky Park. A day trip to Mackinac Island or Sault Ste Marie is fun if you've never been, but maybe I've just stayed in Mackinaw City too many times, I couldn't find much I wanted to do. Tried to go to Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the UP, but road construction delays were such that I turned around and went back. Some of my favorite shops have closed, restaurant options and quality were less than my previous visits. The weather didn't help, it was the hottest, most humid Labor Day weekend anyone could remember, and then there were thunderstorms, wind, and rain the last 2 days of my visit.

I always enjoy a trip to the Straits!
I always enjoy a trip to the Straits! There are plenty of activities to do in Mackinaw City; we typically take a trip to Mackinaw Island. The only bad thing is that prices seem to be higher in Mackinaw City than in St. Ignace.
Extremely charming! We loved the unique environment at this hotel. Beautiful landscaping, relaxing areas, clean and warm outdoor pool, and delightful room. Breakfast boxes were nice, including a muffin, granola bar and yogurt. Location is the best. Short walk to the historic fort, the lighthouse, a view of the bridge, view of the lake, and just a few blocks walk to downtown Mackinaw City and the ferries to the Island.
We did not pay for a balcony room but almost all of the rooms in the hotel face towards the lake so we received a lake view balcony room at the standard price. Hotel was close enough to reasonably walk to the ferry and restaurants nearby. Pretty good value for the location and size of the room. On Tuesday nights in the summer fireworks are shot off nearby and visible from hotel balcony or on the beach.
I loved the view from my room. The bed was comfortable, shower was hot. However, it is clearly and older hotel and needs updating, the price for the room was a little too much for the work that needs to be done. Also the porch light was out on my room so it made it hard to see when i had to go to my truck during the night. We were in room 16
The hotel and room were immaculate! The beds were comfortable and the sheets were amazing. There was a full breakfast with so many options. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I have traveled all over, and this hotel was by far the BEST ever! I am already planning my next stay at Holiday Inn in Mackinaw City.
Hotel was in a convenient location near shops and restaurants. Desk staff was very friendly when we checked in. Hotel has a neat log cabin look outside. They offered a hot breakfast which was unexpected. The beds were comfortable. Loved the walkout sun deck.
We enjoyed the water park, but it’s not open daily (at least right now during off season). The front desk staff were always friendly and welcoming when we interacted with them. The location is great for exploring Mackinaw City.
We had breakfast at a restaurant in town.
Perfect location to wander the town and catch the ferry. The king bed was so comfortable! The hotel was quiet. Just a little difficult to get luggage up to 2nd floor with stairs.
As with most places to stay in Mackinaw City, facilities could use some major upgrades. Hallways look like they haven’t been cleaned in quite some time. Every hotel/motel I have stayed at in MC is very outdated.
No Breakfast but gave discounts to local restaurants walking distant. Had coffee, apples & snack bars always available. Shared indoor water park and outside pool with hotel next door. Very nice. Good Value!
The location to Mackinaw City and Mackinaw island is great. Cabins are super cute and right on the beach. Definitely would recommend for someone looking for a little more than just a hotel room.
Price better than the rest, but still feel overpriced. i would not recommend stay in this town. The hotels in the whole Mackinaw city are overpriced. Better stay on the island or somewhere else
The hotel was very nice and I liked how it was so close to the downtown area. I also liked how I could walk out the back door and be right on the beach. That was very nice and peaceful.
Room was clean, looked newly remodeled. Kids had a blast in the water park. Free access. Location great for Island trip. The fireworks were a fantastic added surprise.
One Bottle water, one apple and one snack was my breakfast during 2 nights at the hotel. I paid $750 for nothing. I bought breakfast outside for my kids
