The value was amazing and the room very clean. The club was relaxing to hang out in.
Pittsfield is a city with small town vibes. It has this charming, slow paced lifestyle, that differs from other cities. Generally, people do not seem to be in much of a hurry here. Also, Pittsfield has a beautiful landscape, with accessible/convient hiking trails, and lakes.
I just wish there were a better night life here.

The many attractions of Berkshire County, especially in summer, are legendary. A car is almost a necessity, although Amtrak service (one train daily, two on summer weekends) is available. The Amtrak station is located one block from The Hotel on North Street.

I came for the Berkshire Opera Festival which was nice.
I came for the Berkshire Opera Festival which was nice. The Berkshire Museum is rather eclectic and not particularly interesting. The Stage Company is quite good. There are other things to see (Herman Melville's house etc.) but they are far. If you are coming to Pittsfield, I recommend driving - I took Amtrak but discovered there is no Uber or Lyft service so I was not able to go beyond downtown. Not many quality restaurants and the town closes up pretty early.

You'll enjoy the comforts of Hotel on North, and the people of Pittsfield, so warm & friendly.
While the hotel may have the feel of a New York Kimpton, temper your expectations for the city center. Like many places in the Berkshires, Pittsfield is doing its best to generate a new economy since manufacturing went elsewhere. Do come stay, and spend, to help make it more vibrant!

Pittsfield itself is a great launching point for a Berkshires vacation as it's handy to Lenox, Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and North Adams. It has some TERRIFIC restaurants, LOTS of theaters, and a couple of worthwhile tourist places on its own.
This was an excellent choice for an 8-day vacation stay. Family members stayed in their own suites, but the suites were large enough to allow the 9 of us (8 adults and one toddler) to socialize and eat together. Location was great. We could walk to a number of places in Pittsfield (Barrington Stage, Bershire Museum, Beacon Theater, Colonial Theater), near a supermarket, and an easy drive to Shakespeare & Co, Tanglewood, the Mount, Hancock Shaker Village.
The location is nice as long as you have a car. It’s very private and quiet, despite being in Pittsfield. Feels like you’re in nature a bit. The room was warm and relatively cozy. The TV worked great. There is a fridge, a microwave, and a little coffee machine. I was surprised by how many amenities there were given the price. I would likely stay here again. It’s also self check-in. They just give you a code, which makes things really easy.
Location was easy to find. Outside of hotel could use some updates; however, it appeared as though they were starting to paint so that is already in the works. Room was decently sized and the bathroom area had been updated and was clean. The bed was comfortable. Bonus there was a fridge in the room. The pool looked refreshing; however, the weather we had while staying there wasn't swimming weather.
This was a Best Western Plus hotel, which apparently means "minus". Old, worn, off beaten path, middle of nowhere, so it is difficult to think of anything I liked. The manager tried to be nice, but why wouldn't he? Surprisingly the hotel was fairly full of travellers.
Fantastic studio with modern, elegant furniture, functional and spotless clean, cozy and very comfortable and quiet. In walking distance to town center of Pittsfield and shopping center. Surroundings offer great hiking (e.g.
Appalachian trail in Dalton).
The best part was the location, and the view. The Hilton is one of our favorite Hotels.
The hotel itself was built beautifully. The restaurant is stylish, just a bit expensive.
Really, the King bedroom was spacious, and comfortable. Great Time!!
From the location to the wonderful room, this place is the best. It is affordable without sacrificing amenities. The young couple who manage this hotel are so kind and welcoming. We will always stay here when we get away to the Berkshires.
Beautiful area to walk or eat cheap fast food. 🍱 I loved the mirror and the bed. Pittsfield downtown is not far away and you can go 30 minutes by car to the amazing The Clark Museum or Tanglewood for concerts. I also liked the pool!
The pool was a real bonus! The on-site restaurant was a delight - excellent food and amusing bartender. The central location was perfect for my needs. Would stay there again without hesitation - lovely hotel.
Love this beautiful old building that they turned into a hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge. Love that they have free parking also.
