Great location for the centre of salem. Very friendly and welcoming staff, who are more than happy to share their knowledge of the local area. The hotel has a grand lobby and the rooms have everything you need and are comfortable and clean. The hotel is aged In places which is understandable due to the history of the building. We didn't have breakfast but it is an option.

Go during off season when it is less crowded.
Go during off season when it is less crowded. Definitely visit the Peabody Essex Museum! Beautiful with excellent exhibits. Don't miss the Chinese house. "Witch" tour was very informative but not at all scary like I thought it was going to be. Didn't have time to go to any of the Witch museums as we had planned.SteveUnited States - 10Scored 10

Such an interesting historical gem of a city. Lots to explore, contemplate and take in. You absorb the witchy vibe in a cool way, but then keep exploring the museums, waterfront, parks and fantastic shops and restaurants. Like a mini-Boston, but more focused.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10
Salem is a great little city with so much historical...
Salem is a great little city with so much historical significance, beautiful old homes and a fantastic museums. If you have the time, it is well worth a side trip. Mercy Tavern is also a great spot, lovely food, cocktails and staff. I wanted to go to Salem since I was a child, 30 years later I finally made it. You won't be disappointed.

Anybody that is in to the type of stuff in Salem would love it. Could spend a week there just looking at all the shops. Then you have the tours and self guided paths, you really just have to research what you are into.Michael - 10Scored 10
Salem is a fun place to visit.
Salem is a fun place to visit. Lots of attractions and activities to keep you busy. Food was great and many places to choose from. We liked Reds, Dire Wolf Tavern and Carmel Patisserie. I would highly recommend any time of year because of the variety of attractions and places to visit. The Witch Dungeon Museum and the Witch House were among my favorites to visit. Awesome place for a girls get away. We were able to walk everywhere and see what we wanted. The boutiques and shopping were awesome. We also did a Psychic Reading and a Witches Circle and Witch City Walking tour. We loved all of them. I would definitely come back and do them again.

The history of Salem is just so..
The history of Salem is just so.. Interesting, colorful, fasinating, rewarding and a little sad. What human beings can doing to each other is unbelievable in both evil and good ways. We stayed at the Salem INN and loved it. Ate at Turners, Rockafellas and some other places that slip my mind. These two were great. Used the trolly and walked alot.

Room was a good size for 3 people. We had a corner room and it was so bright but had good room darkening shades for night. Parking was very convenient - could self-park or use their valet. I just did self-park and it was sufficient. Could also come and go as we pleased - no waiting for a valet to bring the car around. They called ahead of time to make sure I knew the address, they sent an email and were very thorough so I would know where to park, and extremely friendly when we arrived. The rooms were so clean, the beds are the comfiest I have ever slept on in a hotel, and the location to get around all the hot spots in Salem was wonderful and within walking distance.

They reach out several times a day. We prefer to decline housekeeping in hotels due to the electronics we travel with. This was not an issue with the staff. We would definitely stay here again.
