Really cool little town!
Really cool little town! Small enough that we could walk everywhere in the downtown area. Lots of great places to eat. Sitka National Park had several walking trails and lots of totem poles. We rented a car so that we could get to other hiking trails. Beautiful view of the mountains almost everywhere you look. We went for 3 days and it was a "just right" amount of time.

Came for our granddaughter's graduation but saw so much more. Went to the Raptor Center and the Fortress of the Bear. Wonderful places. Toured the Bishop's Palace and also walked out to Totem Park. Would have like to take a boat ride or gone fishing. Driving along the coast was beautiful.

We have a cousin in Sitka who transported us throughout the community. That was a big advantage. She also helped us plan our visit. We loved Totem Park, the summer classical concert and the Father’s Day crab feed.

Beautiful and friendly place.
Beautiful and friendly place. Restaurants were great, and there was a lot to experience.
Websites of attractions were often wrong in opening times which was frustrating.
We particularly liked The Beak, Mean Queen and the hotel restaurant for meals.
Sitka Tours was awesome.

Very much enjoyed the Fortress of the Bear. I also enjoyed visiting the Russian Bishop's House and the Russin Orthodox Church. Very informative.

Sitka is a great place to visit.
Sitka is a great place to visit. The scenary is fantastic, ocen and mountains. It is an easy town to find your way around and lots to see. I did not find any decent places to eat. Meals are expensive and maybe average.
I will go back
The staff was lovely, and helpful. The facility was clean, clean, clean, it was very conveniently located to everything in Sitka, and we would recommend it to a fellow traveler. However, it is a modest accommodation, so I don’t expect luxury, but do expect comfort. There is also an E bike rental right next door, which was very good.
The hotel offered airport pickup and drop off. The owner of the hotel picked us up and gave us some background on the town during our relativey short drive. The hotel is right in downtown Sitka so was very convenient for walking throughout the town and out to the Sitka National Historic Park.
Location was the strong point as it was close to hiking, restaurants, grocery and museums etc. Reception staff always friendly; from the description I thought there would be more of a view but the hotel is really just tucked away in an urban block.
Airport shuttle...though we did have to wait around for pick-up. Location on the waterfront...though near the busy road by the ocean. Our room was dual aspect and had great views. More affordable than some of the other hotels in Sitka.
A good size apartment with kitchen and lounge areas on the side.
The basic breakfast in the cozy room adjacent to reception started our days.
We appreciated the hotel shuttles on our arrival and departure to and from Sitka.
The room looked newly decorated and spacious. It was clean and comfortable. There is no breakfast offered, but there is a coffee shop across the street. This is a very nice hotel for Alaska and we would stay there again.
Excellent view from both the windows in our room including a view of the sunset. Hotel is on the waterway/ marina. Close to the main street for shopping and sight seeing. Staff were very helpful and nice.
pick up from the Sitka Airport was great we jumped out of a taxi into the transfer vehicle in front with no worries. Then went to the Mean Queen for dinner and drinks and to learn the American culture
Westmark Inn is located in the heart of downtown Sitka. The place is clean. The hotel provides a shuttle to the airport. Also, the hotel staff is helpful. I could easily walk around the downtown area.
Totem Square just spent $2.5 million on renovations and it shows. Rooms are a nice size and very clean. Location is within one block of Sitka's main street. Shuttle service to and from airport.
Breakfast was modest. Cereal and breakfast sandwiches that needed to be microwaved. The staff was helpful. The location was very good as it was very near to the main street in Sitka.
This was in a great location to walk around Sitka. Staff was very helpful in holding luggage or helping us carry it to our rooms. The rooms were basic but the bed was comfortable.
Location on the water was great. Ability to get up and see water in the morning was great. Location was good for Sitka but was in a bit of a industrial area of Sitka.
Good location, superb friendly and helpful stuff, has a shuttle to and from the airport, historic hotel. And also, is has a great restaurant on property.
