The hotel bares the name of "Hotel & Spa", however, the actual spa service is extra. The hotel does have an outdoor pool which guests could use for free. However, it was impractical in the cold raining winter. The actual spa with the indoor pools, however aren't free. Guests have to pay $49 for a day pass. We was surprised to find out we had to pay extra for the spa pool. In addition, there was a waiting list for the pools and bath house, so, the service was not guaranteed if you are willing to pay. We wish the website would have that information.

I felt it was pretty, but it didn’t really have the choice of restaurants. I felt Napa was definitely the place to stay and they had more restaurants and more places to eat breakfast. Sonoma was a bit small.

Just an hour or so outside San Francisco, Sonoma is a picturesque city set among the vineyards in Northern California. It features a beautiful square with galleries, shops and restaurants. They often feature live music in the square. Great for a long weekend, the vineyards offer tours and tastings. There is also a wonderful cheese shop there. If you enjoy being active, don’t miss the hiking/biking trails in the area.

It is a quiet and over-looked town! MUST SEE! They have a cute downtown Sonoma Plaza, with a Visitor Bureau with free coupons (2 for 1 wine tasting), lots of cute and varied shops and restaurants. There are also a lot of museums and the Sonoma Mission right there. We visited Buena Vista, Gundlach Bundschu, and Jacuzzi wineries--ALL were beautiful! We had a great dining experience at Sonoma Grill and Bar in the back terrace.

Downtown Sonoma is a quaint town with cafes, galleries, a movie theater, and most importantly, two ice cream shops (we chose the Chocolate Cow). We also found a wonderful hike nearby called Sonoma Overlook in the downtown area. About 1.3 miles up for a beautiful view of the city.

The foods we tried were all delicious.
The foods we tried were all delicious. The town square and park were quaint as well as the city itself. I loved the architecture of the homes in the downtown area. The area is very walkable and there were many unique shops.
Breakfast was delivered each morning at 8.30. As we were in the main house, we could eat it at the dining table, or in our room. 2 very large pastries and a pot of coffee. Our bedroom was one of the smaller ones, but with access to a sitting room and a dining room, this more than made up for it.
Only 150m from the main square at Sonoma, with lots of lovely shops, good restaurants and a few bars. Area was extremely safe and friendly.
Off street parking, with an allocated space for each room.
Andrea's Hidden Cottage is a gem! With its central location off the plaza in Sonoma, we were able to walk to many great shops, restaurants, parks, museums, and more, yet it was still peaceful and secluded. The kitchenette allowed us to prepare our own breakfasts and pack lunches for our drives around wine country. The bed was super comfy, the hot tub and yard were lovely, and everything was clean and well kept. Communication was also stellar. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved that it was right on the Sonoma Plaza and within walking distance of great restaurants, boutiques, and wine tasting rooms. We also enjoyed the historic look and feel of the hotel. The staff was really friendly, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed staying there. There is no breakfast, or coffee, but there is a cute cafe accross the street and we were able to call in an order and pick it up and bring it back to our room really easy.
The room was small but clean and well kept. We had the second floor with no elevator which was okay.
We did not use the spa it was an extra 49 dollars. We did not do breakfast but went to dinner. The menu was a lot of fish dishes which my husband enjoyed. The meal was expensive but delicious. Recommend reservations to eat outside.Pool was great especially on the hot days.
Loved the hotel shuttle to Sonoma square. Taking bike ride today free with hotel.
This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in in my life (and I have had my fair share of hotels all over the world). it is regal, pristine and located right in the town square. The team were incredible (Joe and Spirit) and give the most incredible wine tasting. staying at the hotel also gives you access to the Ledson Manson winery. DO IT!
The staff was amazing and friendly. The facility was beautiful with a rustic Italian kind of vibe. It was quite and relaxing. But, still a very close to downtown Sonoma and within a close enough drive to some of the wineries. I would definitely come back to stay again!! Very intimate, boutique hotel. Beautiful! Thank you for having us!!!
Amazing hotel! Very friendly staff, exceptional breakfast (fresh fruit and pastry and things that most hotels don't offer), the pool and hot tub are great and the jungle like atmosphere in the yard makes this hotel a very pleasant place to stay at. Highly recommended.
It is a fabulous, quaint and quiet property very close, 2 mins walk to Sonoma square. The bedsheets and water pressure was great! the staff were lovely and gave us a lovely dinner recommendation .
Absolutely exceptional stay! Such a peaceful little piece of paradise in the middle of Sonoma. The hot tub is incredible and the gentle sound of the crickets at night is so soothing and relaxing.
Sonoma wasn't quite what I'd hoped as a town, but this accommodation was so cute! Comfy bed, quiet room, and flanked by a super popular restaurant. Would stay again.
