This was honestly the best accommodation in our whole 5 week Vietnam itinerary. The wide gazebo common areas surrounded by a lush green garden and a river are just fantastic to escape stressful cities. There where hammocks everywhere to relax, free bananas and a great dinner for a really good price. The staff is amazing, they speak good English and help you with everything. It’s also a smaller homestay so that you can actually connect with other guests in the common areas. We stayed in a hut for two persons, which had everything we needed.

Staff were magnificent, especially binh. The electric cart was great. Pool was fantastic but too warm. Waited on so much at dinner and breakfast. Great selection to eat for breakfast. Staff organised the transport for our next leg of our journey. Great to watch life on the Mekong go past.

Beautiful garden!
Beautiful garden! A small paradise in the Mekong delta.. very interesting 6 hour boat tour organised by the owner and his family to give a better understanding in the region. This is a very beautiful part of the Delta with clean canals...
This is a very beautiful part of the Delta with clean canals and neighborhoods and lots of opportunities to interact with locals. We took a bike ride one day and people would say hello to us as we passed. Another day we took a tour and got to get a bigger perspective on life here. One of the most enjoyable trips we've had and the best of this 2-week vacation!

If you want to be in the heart of the Mekong Delta - better...
If you want to be in the heart of the Mekong Delta - better go to Can Tho. Ben Tre just has not a lot to offer. The only thing you can visit is the night market, but it is not special. Only cheap tourist stuff that you will find on every other market in VietnamAlexanderAustria - 10Scored 10

Ben Tre/My Tho are nice if you are interested in discovering the different islands around: they all have their own speciality: honey, coconut, etc. The boat tour is lovely especially if you decide to go for a private one. The city has a beautiful pagoda that is worth visiting.

We were only at the homestay and on a boattrip one afternoon. Did’nt go to the city of Ben Tre. A couple of hours on a bicykletrip would definetly have been interresting, but with three kids, we found it too difficult.

I had such a lovely time at Ben Tre Stay. The family let me borrow a bike, showed me where to cycle to in the area, arranged a boat trip on the river, arranged a bus ticket for my next destination. Thus, you can experience both city and rural life styles easily. Access from Ho Chi Minh City is a piece of cake if you use FUTA bus. The company offers a free shuttle bus service to this property from the Ben Tre bus station. Area around this property was very good for a bicycle ride. Luckily, there were many bicycles available and they were free. During my stay, I went to so many places by bicycle and met many local people. It was every wonderful.

The beautiful location just along the Mekong River, food and staffers...all were incredibly fantastic far beyond my expectation. Operated by Mr. Thai and his family and good friends, this inn produces such comfortable atmoshere, just like Mr. Thai says "My home is your home, too". Mr. Thai's food is magically tasty and unbelievabley cheap! Even my 2 children who usually try to avoid Vietnamese food devoured all the food in happy excitement. Beds were a bit hard but very clean and air conditioned. His trips were fantastic and we were able to see the real Mekong - shrimps straight out of the net of the fishing boat cooked for us on the boat, canoeing down the narrow canals. His wife taught us to make local food and cooked a fish we caught in the river outside our room. All tasted amazing. Very interesting to be able to talk to him about real life in Vietnam. Everyone loved the karaoke!

We could rent the bikes and a scooter, and breakfast was always made fresh for us. We could also help ourselves to free water, and we had dinner at the stay once. The food was good Vietnamese comfort food, big portions. The hosts were super friendly and always helpful. The dogs were also really cute! Totally recommend staying with them, it's a very great and chill place which gives you a little glimpse of the life in the Mekong delta.
