Emanuel and the kitchen assisted in accommodating my nut allergy and vegan diet.

Sunset Kendwa Beach Hotel ligger på Kendwa Strand i Nungwi og tilbyder rummelige værelser og bungalows. Der er dykkercenter, restaurant og døgnåben reception. we loved the hotel and Kendwa area so much that we decided to extend our stay from 3 to 5 days. The place is squeaky clean and very well maintained. During our visit, the hotel was under going renovations and expansion so something to look forward to! we stayed in the bungalows (deluxe rooms) and they were lovely: spacious, comfortable with a picturesque view from its balcony. Sitting in the balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee was a blessing. The staff are helpful and friendly especially the room service and pool/ beach teams. Also, I am beyond appreciative for the reception team. The reception works around the hour. They are ready to help and support with any matter to ensure guests comfort. To count some of the things that the reception team went out of their way to help with are: - helping us activate and recharge Zanzibari SIM card at 2 am. - Rearranging twin bed rooms to be king bed rooms in order to accommodate our request to change our rooms away from the construction area. - Rearranging their booked rooms to allow us to complete our stay in the same rooms after we extended our stay on very short notice. - Helping us get taxis at better rates than anywhere else. - helping us exchange currency at better rates than anywhere around. I loved the baked goods range at breakfast and the daily fresh brewed coffee. The newly added pool is refreshing and perfect for swimming laps. I used the pool every time there was high waves at the beach! I loved the beach front area because it had many different seating spaces (sofas under shade, tables and chairs, sun beds, hammocks, benches, swings) so it was not like most hotels just sun beds stuffed next to each other.

Amazing stay !! There is no better Hotel in Zanzibar The amenities, the room, the food, the location and especially the staff, everything was perfect. There is no better location in Zanzibar, it's located in the northern part of the island which is much less affected by the tides than the rest of the island. Compare to the other hotels nearby, the Gold has THE best private beach, it's wide, clean, very well maintained and the deckchair are very confortable and spaced from one another. The room is great, the bed very confortable and the housekeeping will come twice a day, including at night to prepare your bed, set the mosquito net and spray it with repellent. Not once have we seen mosquitos in our room, a huge advantage for a peace of mind when traveling in Africa. The food at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and diner is just the best: savory, fresh, and the menu changes everyday. It's mentioned on almost every comment here and it does not disappoint. Definitely recommend to get half board or all inclusive. A huge plus : they use a particular mix to attract any bees, mosquitos, hornet.. outside of the restaurant, you won't be bothered there as well. The best part is yet the staff, amazing!! everyone is so genuine and kind its incredible. Huge thanks to Emanuel who maintains a breathtaking vegetable garden , he will be very happy to show you around. Latifah at the beach, Whadija at the restaurant, thank you so much.
