I had an amazing experience here. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as unforgettable as possible. The dorm is very nice, the beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean and spacious. Sunset Beach is the perfect place if you are looking to avoid the crowds and have a nice, relaxing time. It is a small beach where you get to after a 30-minute hike from Saracen Beach where the Ferry drops you off. Someone in Saracen Beach tried to discourage me from doing the hike and painted it as if it was a very difficult trek but it truly is not. The people from the other hostels on the beach are incredible as well and it has this sense of community that not many places have nowadays. You will definitely not regret visiting Sunset Beach and staying in Kamaku.

Boasting a private beach area, the resort is close to several noted attractions, around a few steps from Lazy Beach, a few steps from Saracen Bay Beach and a few steps from Sunset Beach. The accommodation features room service, luggage storage space and currency exchange for guests. Great location, it was like a paradise. Definitely the nicest place on the entire island — not a hardcore disco party place, but with warm-hearted staff and good taste in music and style. We also loved the food there. We have a great 2 hours sunrise yoga class. Also, the hotel was environmentally conscious, not plastics, and solar panels were used.

It is a complete detox, without trying to be. You are on a nearly empty island with no roads or establishments, the water is warm like a bath. The huts and tents are nestled into the jungle, a literal stone’s throw from a white, sandy beach. It is quiet. People at this camp/resort tend to snorkel, hike, and read in hammocks all day and not much else. The food is homemade and healthy. The staff are warm and accommodating. I originally booked for five nights, not knowing if I could handle much more in such a secluded area without getting bored. Within 5 minutes of arrival, I extended my stay. Don’t think twice- if you have come across this wild place in your search, you are meant to be here.

Featuring a private beach area, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The restaurant serves Asian and European cuisine. Location is fantastic with a very remote feel, but easy to reach by speedboat that the hotel can arrange. The beach is great with white sand and lots of palm trees. Breakfast was perfect, we loved the air-conditioned tents and had an all-round fantastic stay. Would definitely come again. The hotel team were extremely helpful and made the whole experience absolutely enjoyable.

Located on 1 km of private beach, Kactus KohTaKiev offers accommodations on the sunset side of Koh Ta Kiev. Guests can enjoy meals at the in-house restaurant or have a drink at the bar. Kactus Koh Ta Kiev was, to be put simply, the best place I stayed in Cambodia, if not in my entire south-east Asia trip. From the idyllic location on a secluded beach (where you can snorkel and see bioluminescent plancton just by swimming at night to the shores) on the magical island of Koh Ta Kiev (white sand beaches with pristine blue waters, dense jungle hikes) which for now has only 2-3 hotels on it; to the amazing staff that run the place and really love what they do, offering free yoga and tao classes, crazy plancton night tour, the night fires and games, delicious cocktails and food, comfy jungle dorms and clean jungle bathroom (beware of the insects and other animals, but that's part of the experience!) - Kactus will forever stay in my heart!
