Located in Kalpitiya, 400 metres from Kandakuliya Beach, Salt Bay Kite Resort provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Providing a bar, the property is located within 700 metres of Kudawa Beach. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. The cottages are very nice with their own outside bathroom. The setting next to the water is beautiful and Thusitha is a wonderful person doing his best to make your stay comfortable and to make you feel at home. The breakfast was reaaalllyy good. The location is a short walk to the beach (<5min) and restaurants. There is also the possibiltity to eat there.

Get up close with wildlife and nature at Leopard Trails Wilpattu, a campsite with tents offering a private bathroom. Breakfast is included for guests during their stay and airport shuttle services can be arranged at a surcharge. The staff and service was what stands out the most, they do their best to ensure you are always safe and clean. It's on the expensive side but what you are paying for is the extensive knowledge of the guide on the safari which is missing in other places. We have both learnt a lot about different animals and behaviours on this safari and it's an experience that will stay with us forever

For the meals only option, safaris could be arranged with the camp directly, at an additional cost to be paid directly to the property. Quiet and cozy. The staff was phenomenal. We mistakenly got our dates mixed up (thanks jet lag) and showed up a day early. Staff was very accommodating and we were able to move up our booking by a day. Dinner was lovely and both afternoon and morning safaris were great. We loved our guide!

With lake views, Nirvaan Safari Lodge is situated in Wilpattu and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. From the very beginning the communication with the host was seamless, they made sure we find the location and picked us up with a jeep where the road started to be too rough for a normal car. The whole experience was amazing, my spider enthusiast son found a soulmate in Ranil, a conservation biologist who runs the place while engaged in fascinating research projects. The food was always freshly made and delicious, the tent was comfortable with beautiful surroundings. As a special treat, Ranil's dad joined us on our safari and shared his wealth of knowledge about the anilmals in Wilpattu National Park, including the leopard couple we spotted on a tree. Thank you for the amazing experience, we felt like we were part of the family.

Situated in Achchamulai, Wilpattu Green Cabin features accommodation with seating area. The property has lake and river views. The host was really nice and managed to organise the safari at the last minute. We saw elephants near the river in the night, it was incredible!

- Pre-dinner drinks around the campfire and wine (by the glass) during dinner. Beautiful setting. The camp is very spread out and the tents are spacious and clean. I’ve camped all my life and this did not disappoint as it was very luxurious comparatively. Keep in mind it’s still camping but the tents have all of the comforts of home with a full shower and bathroom as well as a sitting room. Upon arrival we received welcome drinks and were given a very informative orientation where they went over the tents, meals and meal options, afternoon tea, night and morning walks as well as the safari options. We chose to go with the full day safari and it did not disappoint, we saw a variety of birds, many deer, water buffalo, a sloth bear and three leopards(a mother and her two cubs). The bbq dinner was fantastic as we sat around a camp fire which was a gorgeous setting. The morning breakfast was also special and incredibly romantic. The staff was top notch and catered to our every need. This is a must experience if you love camping. The tents has no ac but a great fan which made for a good night sleep.
