A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Featuring full-day security, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant and a sun terrace. The campground also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Beautiful desert camp in the middle of the Wahiba desert. We booked 3 tents for our group of 6 people and all the tents are spacious with comfy beds, A/C, and bathroom. The hotel is right next to the huge sand dunes and you can easily climb up the dunes at sunrise or sunset without the need of booking their 4x4 jeep tours as the "jeep" won't go very far anyway. The view from the top of the sand dunes is beautiful and peaceful. The dinner and breakfast were also great. We ate camel meat for the first time here. Note that they will charge you extra for drinks at dinner.

I had this place and a couple others camps down to the wire, on which place I should stay at, in the end I chose this place. Once experiencing it I was happy with my decision. You get a more private experience at this place compared to others as there are are less tents and people, this goes a long way and you won't see this in the description or know this until you are there. Rashid goes out of his way to make your stay very enjoyable, like a true Omani. The other bonus that this place has over others is that its at the top of some of the highest dunes you can stay at; which is good because their is less dune climbing for you. PLUS driving up to the tents is so much fun in the rental (its not hard, just keep your momentum). Dune bashing was amazing and same with the camel ride. Thanks again Rashid.

The tents were very comfortable and there is a big dune next to it that is perfect to see the sunset/sunrise

For visitors looking to embark on day trips to nearby landmarks, the luxury tent provides a selection of packed lunches. The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends.

Towels and bed linen are featured in the luxury tent. Additional in-room amenities include fruits. The camp was just right. Comfy tents and beds (on platforms), good food. Most importantly, it was quiet: far enough from other camps and city, only four tents in camp I think. So the desert night was quiet and perfect for star-gazing. This alone deserves their high reviews. But on top of that, Mr. Ali and his staff saved me with car trouble. Somehow, I lost my rental car keys... They helped me look everywhere. I was kicking myself and preparing myself for a delay of one or two days. But Mr. Ali located a car mechanic, and the mechanic made a new key (!) for a very reasonable price. I was back on the road in 90 minutes.

The area is popular for walking tours, and car hire is available at the luxury tent. Hamood is a great host. Bed and blankets were very comfortable. The food was delicious. Programm and atmosphere was authentic and relaxed. We stayed for 2 nights, which we absolutely recommend for calm and serenity, but also to experience the desert in full.

Located 50 km from Wadi Bin Khalid, SAFARI-Glamping offers accommodation in Bidiyah-20 kms inside the desert from the village Al Hawaiyah. SAFARI-Glamping offers two private tents and 2 huts between the dunes in Sharqiyah sands. A small camp with only three tents, and we were alone during 2 nights. Very nice place ,good food and Azim, our host, very friendly! Watch out! No hot water or electric socket

You can play darts at the luxury tent. Alsarmadi Desert Camp has a children's playground and a picnic area. Great experience, extremely friendly and hospitable staff. beautiful area around the camp. really enjoyed the dune bashing and sunset in the desert!
