There was a small mistake done upon our booking and they went above and beyond to resolve it, late at night, all hands on deck. Just to make up for it happening in the first place, they also treated us with complimentary breakfast. This is the place you will be valued. This is an unusual hotel with plenty of character. It is close to the A6 motorway which made it a convenient overnight stop for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the ambiance at this traditional hotel set in a quiet village, definitely the antidote to soul-less chain hotels! Good food at the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the hotel itself, with free secure car parking. As a bonus, wine making at Domaine Boussard is within walking distance - a great opportunity to learn the difference between Chablis and Chardonnay wines!

Le Kolibri is well situated just off the A6 motorway it is about 6 hours from Calais so perfect for a stopover on the way down to the South of France. The room was very clean and comfortable , the staff were very helpful and there is now a restaurant next to the hotel which serves very good food, the staff there were very friendly and efficient. It is an extremely good addition to the hotel, no need to go further to find an appetising meal at the end of your day.

This is one of those hotels I like to write a review about. It is well-located, both for a tourist guest (Beaujolais wine region) and for a business traveller between the North-East and the South of France, just 40 km North of Lyon and next to the A6 freeway exit/entrance. The rooms are grouped per six in separate pavillons with ample parking space near the room, and the reception and - excellent - restaurant are in a central building.

And the aquasens spa was a great way to spend a nice morning, which my husband and I loved.
