Afro Beach Resort is a very unique and - to us - the most beautiful place in the area. We really enjoyed the quiet, clean beach right in front of the resort. The rooms are very clean and the food is delicious. While most of the other neighbouring resorts are owned by europeans, Francis is from the local community in Busua. He built up this amazing little resort by himself and takes really good care about his guests. He even walked us home from Busua and took us somewhere to watch the World Championship finals, organized a bonfire night and showed us how to play the drums. Also Eva walks the extra mile to make the guests happy. We will definitely miss the fun nights at the bar and the great conversations! We will come back for sure!

We found that the location strikes the perfect balance: It feels secluded without being totally isolated. The beach is simply gorgeous, so is the garden. The owner, Ellis, is the true star though. He built a little shack right above the beach front where he serves home-cooked food and drinks (we loved just to hang out there all day) You can feel the personal energy he puts into his work and that's what really sets this place apart from many other, more "resorty" accomodation along the coast.

The rooftop is stunning, a perfect place for yoga and meditation and to chill or sunbathe if you want to. My room was absolutely fabulous - fan, balcony, private bathroom and mosquito net, all for very good value.

Danielle and Sebo are an amazing couple who made my stay beautiful. From long conversations about the history and people of Busua to the different and interesting happenings in the area, my mornings and evenings were filled with enlightening conversations. The beach is beautiful. The waters are calm and clean, there are two surf schools and an island not too far from shore to explore. The food was 200%!!! Every meal was homemade and delicious. Your meals could also be made to order if you like. I was also introduced to a garlic pepper sauce which I will hunt down in Accra stores. The staff were attentive, hardworking and helpful. I also appreciated Mr Thomas, the driver who picked me up from the airport and dropped me off as well. He was prompt, professional and very friendly. Overall, I'm planning a longer trip and I will explore more of Busua, Dixcove and Cape Three Points.

Scorpion Hill Lodge features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Busua. Featuring a children's playground and a private beach area, this property is located a short distance from Busua Beach. The location (directly where the Busua River meets the Atlantic Ocean) is amazing. Me and my partner surfed every day and were able to see if the waves were good from the view from our room. Moreover, the property has a nice coconut tree garden with hammocks that you can lounge in whilst dozing off to the sound of the waves. Lastly the manager of the property, mister Mike, went above and beyond to make are stay pleasurable and provided help beyond what you normally expect from a hotel. We forgot our passports in the room after check out and mr Mike offered to go to Takoradi and put our passports on the next bus to Accra! I would recommend this idyllic and reasonably priced place to everyone!
