Set in a former nobleman’s residence 1 km from Arenella Beach and 7 km from the centre of Siracusa, Caiammari Boutique Hotel & Spa is an elegant 4-star hotel on the Plemmirio Peninsula. Large, warm swimming pool, superb garden with greatly maintained plants, trees and shrubs, lovely vegetables and fruits garden with tomatoes, aubergines, oranges. The breakfast is exceptionally well appointed and really worth waking up for. Everyday you get various tiny fingerfoods, tangy olive oil locally sourced, the service here is so corteous and warm and efficient like you are royalty. The room we had was spacious, old traditionally style, beautiful materials like hand made ceramics. Superb entrance road lined with tall trees, the night sleep is favoured by quiteness. Amazing value for money.

Only one word “ EXCELLENT” I stay so many hotels in so many countries. I can say this is the best hotel I stayed. It’s expensive but worth every penny.

A charming, small hotel, Musciara Siracusa Resort is opposite Ortigia Island, facing the sea and a short stroll from a rocky beach. Beach loungers and parasols are provided for free. This place is an absolute gem. Beautiful boutique hotel, exceptional staff/service, and a private beach so beautiful it actually makes you want to cry! Incredible snorkelling just offshore too if you’re into snorkelling (I am, and this is the best snorkelling I’ve ever done in the Med. There are these beach protection rocks dropped just offshore (and just under the water so they don’t spoil the beautiful view) - and these structures provide shelter for tonnes of fish - it’s literally teaming with everything from grouper to moray eels. Literally incredible.
